As you'll see in this game, Jinx went 29-13-9, while I Twitch went 18-16-19, now who had a better game. First off adcs are what they are because of their damage. That's what's so important about having an adc their glass cannons that don't build a whole lot of defense, and are designed solely to ditch out as much damage as they can, before retreating or dying. The struggle with an adc isn't always about surviving it's about placement and knowing who can kill you, and how they're going to do it.

In this game Jinx fed at bot lane, my support was not very good and kept getting pulled by their never missing a damn pull thresh, and kept getting caught trying to harass by Jinx's snare bombs, constantly. But even though she had the most kills I did the most damage to enemy champions overall. My build adapts to different games, for example I got phantom dancer sooner than I normally would due to Jinx being fed, and putting herself in a lot of bad situations. I got Mortal Reminder because of Maokai and him focusing on me throughout the entire game and killing me often.

Point is every game is different and KDA don't mean shit, a win is a win, and a loss is a loss, but if you come out consistently have this type of game where you are getting the most damage as an adc, I have to believe that I will eventually move up.

Also on another note, I placed a total of 24 wards this game, while my support only put 10, so please for the love of God if I can place 24 wards in a game and still do the most damage there is no excuse of why people aren't warding often.

KDA is a joke and is the reason why many players are stuck where they are in ranked because they play for KDA.

Yeah I don't get 20-0 games usually it happen rarely games like this, I don't die 16 fucking times, but it happens still did my job and probably a huge reason why my team won. I think what is holding me back, is some of the decisions I make dying when I could of avoided death knowing when not to save my support. And the biggest thing, is first, paying attention after a fight started, sometimes I lose track I'm doing all this damage and not paying attention to the fact that I'm being attacked to.

Second is trusting my teammates too much, for example my team gets caught in a 3 vs 2 matchup, they're dying, I come up and help kill those 3 people then I see on my minimap Jinx and Thresh coming from behind me, I expected my teammates to see that to, I stop and start attacking them, my teammates kept going and I ended up dying obviously before they even realized I was being attacked.

Alright, I'm going to say something that's going to sound a bit weird so bear with me. If you have a high KDA then that does not mean you are playing correctly. However, if you are playing correctly then you will have a high KDA. That's what people don't understand. If you are positioning properly, take objectives properly, engaging in fights properly, and ward properly then you aren't going to die much. Doing all of those things also means you're more likely to get kills and assists which of course will drive up your KDA. However, it is possible to artificially inflate your KDA by playing too passive. These people may have very good KDAs but have very low damage to champions and very low kill participation.

Also, its important to note that even if you have an amazing KDA if you die ONCE at the wrong time late in the game you can lose the game for your team. One bad baron call, one blind facecheck, one sloppy engage; they can all throw the game for you.

Also, one game doesn't prove anything. I've tracked my stats for over 2,000 games and there is a strong correlation between KDA and win rate (at least for me.) However, I never play to get a high KDA. I play to take as many objectives as I can without making stupid mistakes and dying needlessly. If you're playing for KDA then you're doing it all wrong. Play for objectives but play smart and you'll naturally have a high KDA as a result.

none of the stats matter in a 54 minute game with everyone having 6 items...

It's all down to team comp or whoever gets the best pick at that point

i actually have no clue what youre trying to say about kda meaning nothing.

creatureplex1 votes

KDA means nothing because even if you are getting the most kills as an adc, if you aren't ditching out the most damage than in my opinion you are doing something seriously wrong. In low ello you can have the perfect match best KDA and still fucking lose, hence KDA means shit!

Dynikus1 votes

damage dealt and kills mean nothing if you don't go for objectives ever. Focusing on CS and objectives and not chasing kills will help you climb a lot more than just dealing the most damage as an adc.

To get the most damage as an adc, you kind of have to be participating in team fights and therefore objectives as well. Pressing an advantage is one of the most important things in this game, and late game and can all but decide the game. Problem in bronze, we either don't press the advantage and blue pill after winning a close team fight, or we do press advantage and overstay our welcome, not usually my problem, I'm constantly paying attention to death timers, and the mini map I do a lot of things not expected of a bronze player. But I'm still a bronze player just like any other I have a few things that hold me back from moving up, but mine honestly are easily to fix through tons and tons of games.

No that seems more like your jungler was a big reason you guys lost 0-10-3, so no ganks, only 3 assists, so either A he wasn't ganking often or kept feeding. Usually if you have a high KDA it's not usually your fault you lost, the point I'm trying to make that just because you have a good KDA doesn't mean shit, it's damage, you were Fizz which is primary an assassin, meaning KDA is everything for your class, while as an adc, we want damage that's what's important to us!

creatureplex1 votes

On another note, I always like to believe there is more you could of done but to me early game is heavily decided and it's a team effort, you need your adc not to die often and to farm up, you need your support to ward up and protect your adc, you need your jungler to make smart decisions on ganks, and ganking lanes at right times, you need the mid to put pressure and roam, and you need your top to hold their ground at least to stop a port attempt.

Many people only play for KDA and once they lose their games they have a reason to come on the boards and b*tch! " I won my lane" Good job you won your lane, now go help the other lanes, jungle and get objectives, dragons, barons and help the team instead of worrying about your KDA or cs.

" oh if I use tp to help my team get dragon i will miss like 5 cs or in teamfights, no I'm just going to worry about my cs and KDA and lose and b*tch some more".

Kda means jack shit because if a shaco goes 0/14 he can back door

Kda means jack shit because a tryn that was dc'd for 14 minutes can end on his own

kda means jack shit because this game is more about tactics than mechanics, there are people in gold who can't reliably land a morgana Q and there are people in bronze who know every last intricate combo with riven... the difference is what they do with that.

Sorry but if you die at your own blue buff as a 18/0/12 zed because you were farming for that last item without vision and you get 1v5'd... then the enemy team can go after base...

Kda means jack shit because you're part of a squad, and if you all are able to do your jobs it's always better than only one or two doing the carry.

Kda means jack shit because 99% of the time i see someone with a high kda they salty af, toxic, and then they start to rage if anything goes wrong.

KDA doesn't always mean everything, but it indicates a lot. Sometimes, some champions can't have a good KDA, even if they solo carry a game. For example, a splitpush Jax might have a KDA of 10/8/6 which isn't something significant, yet still solo carrying the game.

Overall though, a good KDA indicates good gameplay generally, but there are exceptions.

At the end game screen, I always check my damage done if I play carries for example. I might have a bad KDA, but my damage dealt as Viktor is almost 2x that the guy next to me, so I know I did good, even if my KDA isn't impressive. Sure, I could have done better and maybe died less, but I did what I had to do eventually. Can also go the opposite way.

You generally know if you played well or not, despite your KDA. As a tank, you might not have a lot of damage or a good KDA, but you still might have just forced some dive and picked up an objective, or get items to support your team like Locket, Knight's Vow etc. KDA is what weak players refer to to show how "I carried this game so hard lul watch my KDA" and I'm like, dude you're playing a carry and the top lane Maokai has dealt more damage than you.
