Am I the only one in bronze that builds items based on the game at hand?

Am I the only support that would rather buy supportive items to protect my adc, rather than going full ap? Just won a game where I went 9-0 in lane, now I could understand if your adc sucks, then by all means go full ap gotta make up for the damage your team is lacking from having a crappy ass adc......But if your adc is kicking ass, shouldn't it hit ya that my adc has a target on their back, and everyone on their team wants to kill them.........As a support isn't your main job to do your best to keep the enemy team from killing them? So if they are all pushing mid but their adc is at bot and your Morgana, why not be in mid taking advantage, fuck the split pushing Ashe, let's push mid they lack damage and a player we got a 5 v 4 advantage just confuses me.

In Bronze, then absolutely.

Please climb out of it. Good players need more committed support players like you.

It happens even in gold. I've had too many games in Gold where we have a full AD comp so I pick an AP support or where we have no tank so I'm a solo tank support. Had a game where the enemy team was pushing mid, but my ADC and I were pushing bot and my ADC tried to back but I kept spam pinging him to help me take the tower, because our 3 laners were holding them off of getting our mid inner tower, while we took an inhib tower. I see enemy ADC and jungler bot, so I spam ping baron yet our team wants to run bot to defend our outer tower instead of taking the free objective.

The best thing I'd say is figure out what works for you and roll with it. I climbed when I moved to AP supports, because I could punish people who made mistakes. A Thresh getting a hook is good, only if the rest of your team does the damage on that hooked target. A Brand though can land a stun and chunk that person himself, regardless if his team is there or not. Most ADCs are aware enough to see, "Hmm, Brand did 80% of the enemy ADCs health, I should walk up and kill them."

That being said though, I do support as that AP champion. I will use my CC to peel for an ADC or APC. I will tank damage for my ADC or APC even if that means I die for it. If my ADC can get the kill, I will leave it for them. I don't take CS unless I'm alone in a lane, and even then I just last hit, not AOE waveclear unless I need to be at a teamfight.

I play Thresh, Lulu, Sona, Morgana, and Trundle as supports but I'm main adc, pretty good at both roles, but I struggle when I don't have a front line as adc, and I don't want to play Ezreal, Lucian and what not, I like my adc choices and play them base on comps. Ashe is my main, Twitch is my backup, Miss Fortune when I have an aoe team comp, Tristana when I need more mobility vs assassins, I play supports base on my adc and who they choose to play as and Trundle as support tank if my team refused to choose a tank. So far I'm in placements, I've won 3 out 4 matches as an adc, all 4 were winnable, 2 out of 3 of the victories we almost threw it took me telling my team look listen to me and cussing them out before they finally said oh okay......Life of a bronze player, should of could of won the game in 20 minutes took twice as long cuz my tank decided to chase jinx while Fizz, and Zed were still alive.
