I really hate support Lux

All she fucking does is buy fucking damage constantly all game, it's like dude where's item 3504 item 3190 item 3222 item 3069 item 3107 item 3341 item 3905 item 3512 there are so many options, oh well her problem is long cooldowns, han her ult is one of the most shortest cooldowns in the fucking game..........look you chose support you want to play lux, great, but stop going for kills, go more for protecting your adc, and your team, ult first shit ditch out a ton of damage, don't wait until the last minute to ult and steal the kill........so many times I've seen Lux that just snowball sometimes or completely get dumped on because they chose not build supportive......make your shield stronger, your snare last longer something shit.......nah I'm going for my slow and adding damage which is great but if you never hit, it then what now I'm faced with two people and a lux weak ass unreliable shield that you probably don't even know how to cast well on another player because you are so used to putting it only on yourself. Morgana somewhat same problem, but not as bad, almost every Lux I run into I just wanna dodge, cuz either she's going to snowball off of my kills, or b, she's going to be the reason we lose the game because she went full ap.

Don't forget Athenes. It's an amazing item for me. That being said, the current meta is heavily skewed towards damage. It's a lot more effective to build damage and one shot someone than it is to rely on someone else and hope they survive long enough to kill someone else. As they say, death is the best CC. If damage ever starts returning to normal levels, I believe traditional builds will start to be more prevalent again.

My shield actually happens to be one of the strongest in the game atm. Also I'd like to point out that kills don't belong to anyone, and all that matters is the enemy is defeated. Besting an enemy champion in battle is just a means to push a lane. It doesn't matter who ends up getting the takedown gold or CS if you're actively putting your enemy in a position where they're forced to either recall or die and pushing your lane.

lux is not a traditional support. She is a mage support. Mage supports function by using crowd control or damage as the majority of their function in bottom lane to allow the marksman to farm and then maintaining a healthy presence mid to late game.

Traditional supports focus more on healing, shields, buffs and some crowd control or peel but typically not enough to warrant immediate purchases of items to bolster their ratios. Traditional supports then buy more utility items to prevent hazardous circumstances if possible

This also happens to be why many players choose mages as support, simply because a mage support can function in and out of team fights and actively participate, whereas a traditional support is more about the other players than what you can do

Lux is meant to do damage even as support... If she's falling behind, I'd understand going the traditional support item builds, but if she's at least even, it doesn't make sense for her to build those other items you listed.

Granted there are situations where Mikael's might be ideal, but I wouldn't build half those items on Lux support. I don't ever play adc though so I wouldn't understand what it's like to lane with a lux support. I would be that Lux support lol which I guess is why I'm defending it now.

The problem isn't the fact of Lux going ap, it's the fact that she's so bent on getting kills that she'll chases after someone instead of worrying about protecting me, now given there are circumstances, but here's one, I see an opportunity to kill Miss Fortune as Twitch, I stealth she doesn't back up, I drop w, lux is a bit low on health right now, she retreats Brand goes after her and leaves Miss Fortune to die by my hands, now honestly I'm fed at this point their is nothing this Miss Fortune can do to kill me, she's only level 5 right now, and instead Lux retreats back to her tower then ults and steals the kill from me, and I have to blow my flash before Brand can kill me, so I get only assist gold even though I did all the work to kill her.....that's what I run into a lot, what if lux would of blew her ult earlier did some damage instead of waiting till the very end to use it???????? Same with Brand, Annie, Vel'Koz and so many other mages in the game, I see 2 things they do, go massive damage, and start not giving a fuck about trying to protect their adc, they're out for blood which isn't what a support is supposed to do even if you are a mage/support like Lux, Morgana, Syndra, Lulu, and so forth your first priority is too keep your adc safe, don't ks if you don't have to, hold back on that last auto......like when I play Thresh, I pull in, i hit my fray and i let my adc get the kill I let them take the towers, I let them go for objectives, I zone off enemies, but I stay back with my adc, so that if a jungler comes in I can protect them. Lux could snare a jungler she can cast a shield she can even ult them right at the start to peel for me. But no what I usually see she drops her snare, e then if she hits them she ults. I guess I like supports that are more focus on giving me kills instead of taking them. When I play support I'm not looking to kill someone I'm looking to save my teammates lives and to secure them the kills....But my first priority even as Morgana is to protect my adc.

Like here's an instance I pulled into Ezreal with full health almost killed him, but I see my adc almost die to Lee Sin so I flash back fray Lee Sin cast my w on my adc, and save their life, Ezreal got away, but my adc lived, and I died......I think overall I made the right decision......Because my first priority when I'm playing support is too protect my adc at all costs even if that means I have to die to save them, that's what I'm going to do.....I'll secure them kills if I can, even if I have to take a couple more auto's or even die to give them a kill, I will always try to feed my adc, and I always go into a fight with hoping to get my adc a kill, I'm not trying to kill them I'm trying to feed my adc.

I can't tell you how many times I've lost a game because of an apc playing bot lane with me, it's not fun, when any supportive item could of been the difference between me living and dying. I honestly didn't even see her use her shield till mid game, it's like kind of sad, her shield is very strong when used correctly and like ashe's volley, at first long cd you points into it it's becomes less of a cooldown problem.

creatureplex4/11/2018, 5:16:59 AM1 votes

It's not so much about what she builds, it's more about the fact that's she's not building for the game, she's building to be an apc regardless of what the team needs, or how I'm doing, I'm fed, I'm going to want to take a bit more risks to push my team to victory, i don't need an apc at bot lane, I need someone that's going to support me and help me win the game.

The only time I dont like Lux supports is when they are on my team.

I love Lux supports when they are on the enemy team.

Why?

Because in my experience they never buy a sightstone (or now the items that turn into sightstones). Its just full AP out the gate. I've literally had games where I had to buy it myself even if I was was mid or top.

Its just sad when the support finishes the game with the lowest vision score on the team.
