removal of minion blocking/level 1 wave manipulation

instead of removing the option for gaining a skill-based advantage at level 1, why not just open up and incentivise other level 1 advantage options in a sort of rock-paper-scissors fashion? what's the point in snuffing out cool new skillful interactions with the game just because you don't like them?

Answer... They already have. instead of standing in your base and blocking minions you can go out and collect "Vision!". Creating these "lvl 1" advantages are trivial and valueless. They benefit those who do them and hurt those who dont. Simple as that. My advise. Learn to lane on equal ground instead of relying on things like this for an advantage.

you're encouraging a narrow-minded, micro-focused style of gameplay and laning that not everyone subscribes to. getting vision and stealing away jungle camps early is far from "trivial and valueless", and creep wave blocking (being a skillful interaction that requires thought and macro knowledge) should be tuned to be a healthy part of the game, not removed entirely.

lol such a skill based advantage...

ppl in NA don't seem to realise that macro decision-making is a skill :>

but i guess #LCSBigPlays are all that matters. micro trumps all, right?

Because

A: it's not a "skillful" interaction. All a person needs to do it is to know about; It takes no skill to perform. It's a perfect example to go alongside a dictionary definition of Cheese.

B: As well as being used in the definition of "cheese", it's also used as an example of "over-powered". But unlike other cheese strats, this one isn't countered with knowledge and skilled play. This one gives an artificial advantage who's only recourse is doing it yourself and can only stifle healthy, macro-focused gameplay strategies; Thus it's unhealthy, OP, and should be removed.

you're aware of what exactly the interaction is, right? it forces the enemy wave to focus your melees only, possibly denying the first 2 melee creeps and setting up a decent freeze opportunity for the team that did the blocking. that's literally it.

if you're aware of it, you can just run up and break the freeze as their bot lane leashes, or you can have your support camp in the lane bush and pull the creeps the same way top laners do to create a freeze in 2015-style laneswaps, or you can laneswap on it and have your top laner do the same thing, or you can aggressively invade while they're busy creep blocking, or you can just do it yourself and neutralise the wave. you can do any number of things that require game knowledge and decision-making. It's not some sort of super-OP, uncounterable strat that gives you a massive early game advantage that can never, ever be answered, which is how Riot (and you) are painting it.
