is it me or is Varus really slept on by the ADC mains?

I rarely play this champ myself, always thinking i can't play immobile ADCs so i stick to but every time i try him out just for fun i end up overfed and being able to 1v5.

He's actually kinda overloaded.

He has poke, while also having insane dps, while also having mixed damage while also having % max hp and % missing hp damage while also having basically a Jinx passive that lets him own team fights while also having a root that can root multiple people that also gives him utility, safety and engage potential.

I mean he can do it all basically, ulting someone is almost a free kill if your team can follow and it's ridiculous in lane as well especially with .

Once he gets a couple of items and his R he can basically 1v1 anyone in the game especially squishies so his immobility isn't overbearing like with Kog Maw.

I mean it feels like he has it all yet i rarely see him played, or am i just overestimating him?

Varus overloaded. I've heard it all now.

Varus can't 1v1 anything unless he is 2-3 items ahead, he has no mobility or defense abilities to protect himself from getting dove.

During the laning phase he has high mana costs and cds and his base HP is quite low.

He can bully lane and he can carry sure. But he is easy too easy to kill and lacks individual agency.

On top of that itemization isn't too great for him right now and his E is a shit ability.

Hes not even that great compared to other adcs. He is good but Kaisa has all those but better with stealth and being mobile.

hes immobile, damage alone doesn't make a champion.

prob wit varus is the long cds and mana costs, even though his Q is really strong it is a very long cd (relative to say a Kai'sa Q) so you have to be really careful with how you use his abilities.

His kit is fine, the CDs and the Costs are just too high but he does have really good ratios on all of his abilities (base and scaling)

Eh Varus is one of those champs I take as a pocket pick against tank-heavy comps when I can't pick Kaisa or KogMaw for whatever reason. I think both of them accomplish what Varus sets out to do but only better. Kog can do anything Varus does but offers long-range poke at a FAR shorter cooldown and much more reliable %health damage.

Kai'sa can basically do everything so there's that. The one advantage Varus would offer is range but that advantage is basically negated by his lack of mobility or CC that isn't on a huge cooldown even with max CDR.
