I'll never understand why people play champs they dont know in ranked

It's become so clear now that you can easily see the mastery points of everyone in the game while in loading screen, enemy team, four mains, one with over 1.5 milion points, my team 3 guys with mastery under 10k and one dude with maybe 30.

Every time this kinda of setup happened we lost, there's just no competition, if you know your champ inside and out you will know when you can safely engage, turret dive, how fast can you take drake, how to handle different matchups etc.

Few days ago i was up against a milion point kindred while my jg was first time graves, its safe to say she made 3-4 ganks had a few kills and started camping our jungler in his own jungle while he still didnt gank once, 10 mins later they have 2 drakes, herald and are finishing up baron.

This things happen again and again, my mid first time Sylas, their mid 1.5 milion point yas, 20 mins in he 1v5s our team.

Can you please for the love of god practice new champs in normal games, there is literally no reason to go in a ranked while playing the champ for the third time just to feed your ass off and lose everyone the game.

Because there is no punishment for trolling your team so long as you do not make it completely obvious that is your intention. And even then, it can take years.

The idea of ranked being treated as practice is beyond nonsense. Players should be banned for trolling, no matter how they do it.

Shit most of my loses so far have been from players in their placements who didnt even bother to play norms to relearn league before queing ranked. I'll be legit their first game in their match history. People don't rly give a fk anymore.

Ranked games are supposed to be competitive, not a place to dick around.

There is absolutely, no feasible reason, to play a champion you have 0 experience in playing, if you're trying to be "competitive".

How dare they allow one person to have fun with their new champs at the expense of the fun of the other 4 players? Nothing wrong with that right? So next time someone is intentionally feeding in your game dont flame him understand hes doing what he has fun doing.

And then you got us returning players with close to 0 mastery, but still 300+ games on the champion before mastery was implemented. Doesn't take much to pick up the mechanics again unless they had a major rework. Mastery in general is a bad indicator.

While I'm often surprised to see such a disparity of mastery points, I've often found that the players who have 900k+ and are still around low Gold are often worse than those who have 50k. At least at lower ranks, there's a point of diminishing returns.

This. I have noticed players with ludicrously high mastery points who are hardstuck bronze/silver for multiple seasons. By the same token I've seen players with <1000 mastery on a champ absolutely pop off. Honestly when I see a player with an insane champ mastery score in my silver games it concerns me more than seeing a player with level 0 mastery.

I feel they should make it so a player needs to accumulate a certain amount of points in said champ before they can play them in ranked.. so 30K on either SR or TT. that way the player is forced to play this champ in a scenario where they might find themselves in a ranked game.. i agree its dumb a new champ gets released and im forced to use my ban on them cause i dont want my own team thinking they can play them.. or hey im laning against (Insert champ) i heard (Insert champ) counters them even though i have never really played them...

It´s a game and everyone can do this if they want. If they are not trolling/inting/whatevering its fine. Its still a skill - based game and some are just better than others. Everyone is not happy with playing only few champs and if they want to try a new one - why is that bad? Its still their acc and their possible ,,not fun experience’’ . And complaining about Riot allowing players to do this? It´s still a fking game! I sis it many times and sometimes i was actually the best from my team on the new champion. And if they are bad like this graves? Well maybe he didnt care about LP that much as you. Not everyone is tryharding LP miner. Some players (me included) play this game for fun, not for tryharding every game. And no we dont want to play normals. In normals , you can get like plat players against you even when youre silver. So yeah , people are going to do this no matter if you like it or not bcs guess what- youre not the only 1 player playing and its not like everyone has to share your opinion on hod this game should be played. So calm době if this happens, maybe give the player some tips and cooperate with other teammates. You still have 3 people to work with. Let ja enjoy the game the way we like it LOL.

Or you know, just play normals cause there's a thing called mmr and if a plat player is playing with silvers he's not a really good plat player

Its more like most of the people who do play ranked want to climb and obviously yes they also want to have fun but they are playing with a more serious intent than just fun. What you are saying is that you only play ranked with the intent of just having fun and not climbing meaning you aren't putting everything into winning.

Then go soraka top and win lane trust me your team would stop complaining if you can win lane on it, instead of going 0/13 on Camille

I think your ranked champ selection should be limited to champs you have played at least 5 games with.

10 would be safer. Half of a champ is knowing the champ and the other half is knowing how to play against other champs.

mastery 4 I think would be best. and your ranked champ pool wouldn't show those champs of M3 or less. there is enough play time to get m4 comfortably, and you should have decent MU knowledge.

99% of people wouldn't be able to queue for ranked then. How many people have 20+ champions at mastery 4? Swapping wouldn't work either, and it would be impossible to coordinate a good team composition. How many people have mastery 4 on at least 2-3 supports for when they're autofilled? You're gonna get a whole lot more "support" Vayne or "support" Yasuo cause they legitimately can't pick any real supports.

Simple, because individual performance means nothing. I can go 10/0 and still lose, 0/10 and win. Unless you're a fed hyper-carry you mean fck-all and can do whatever you want, or don't want, and it'll have no outcome on the game. Bottom line is you don't matter, the game doesn't matter, and RIOT doesn't care.

No that is called projection. You would assume that, I do not. I have consistently found that my performance in game as support has little to no correlation with game outcome. To the point where even if I troll, and attempt to play poorly (play off champs, don't ward, steal cs, run around to different lanes, chase the opposing jungler around the jungle) as long as I don't run it down the middle or afk, it makes no difference. My win/loss ratio doesn't change, the game outcome doesn't change.

In Solo Q support doesn't matter.

All the games ive lost are because enemy team has 3 300k+ players and mine has 4 gold 5 to 3, 20k+ players (im supposed to be plat btw)
