Yasuo Mains Arguments Since today: 1.terrible players just don't know how to play against him. 2.You're Forcing riot to rework a balanced champion. 3.People ban him because they hate him. 4.He doesn't get picked in the LCS so he is balanced. Answers: 1.50.5% winrate in plat 51.5% in diamond. 2.Currently the 5th highest winrate toplane champion in the game. 3.Riven,Vayne,fiora all hated yet none of them has been on a 40%+ banrate since their release. 4.30 champions get picked in the LCS most of which have low winrates in solo queue because they are balanced around LCS ex. ryze. sources op.gg/leaggueofgraphs

Don't know if this's a valid point,but he's highly un-fun to play against.

Lauchmelder3 votes

To me it's a valid point, to some Yasuo mains it's not.

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Honestly, it's an emotional point. It CAN (and is) warranting a mini rework for Yasuo. However, it will not warrant VGU and a GU. (otherwise, riot is crazy)

Lauchmelder1 votes

Tbh I never wanted Yasuo to get a complete VGU/GU. He's incredibly fun to play, there's no denying it. But playing against him feels wrong to me.

Yaśuo Main4 votes
  1. That is most likely his winrate top lane which is where he's "strong". And 50.5% winrate is close to 50% which is mostly considered the "perfectly balanced" winrate by the boards.

  2. Due to ult passive, if that was removed he would be below 50% all lanes he goes in. If you actually consider removing it, he won't fit it with other skirmishers due to no way of fighting tanks (he already has ninja tabi and randuins against him, having no bonus armor pen on ult would utterly destroy him). Also, THE 5TH. He isn't THE FIRST.

  3. Yasuo gets banned a lot because he's frustrating to play against, has a hyper farming ability and scales on gold so he can get back in a match, and he has a high pick rate due to being fun, he also forces the enemy to play to Yasuo's play style and not theirs, and that's what ticks people off the most. I doubt that any of those champions you have listed actually have the frustrating aspects of Yasuo, atleast on his caliber.

  4. No one said that shit, we or "they" said he was never picked in LCS so he CAN'T BE OP, can't be a generalist, and can't be over loaded(debatable). Azir still gets picked because he's a generalist, same for Lee Sin getting picked. Why is Yasuo not picked? Because he's none of those things.

edit : downvote with no reply? mean

And OP is level 23?

PokladnicaZla1 votes

On the matter of number 1. Because Yasuo is such a popular champion many players play him, even tho they don't have the smallest clue what they're doing and lower his winrate. If you were to remove them from statistics, his winrate could likely be high as ~55%

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Then again, that would be the mains of Yasuo inflating the winrate. I've seen mastery 7, 6 and 5 suck at Yasuo, a LOT of people are bad with Yasuo.

PokladnicaZla1 votes

458301 games of Yasuo from LoLking. If you reduce it by 20% (91,660.2) which leaves 366.640.8 Yasuo games. I doubt that the rest of 80% is played by strictly Yasuo mains.

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Hey, I didn't say there wasn't decent Yasuo players :/

Also, where did you get 20% of those games played by bad Yasuo's?

PokladnicaZla1 votes

When did I say they aren't any decent Yasuo players?

I used 20% as the percentage for players who don't any clue what they're doing, but just pick Yasuo for the lols.

Yaśuo Main1 votes

assuming 20% is players who suck? Come on now, even the mains can suck sometimes (specifically me). We clearly cant continue this discussion with assumptions like that.

So how are you doing?

PokladnicaZla1 votes

Not 20% of ALL players, but 20% of Yasuo players.

What number do you think would suffice?

Yaśuo Main1 votes

I don't know, maybe because your point is literally unprovable due to lack of certain resources?

PokladnicaZla1 votes

Yasuo is:

  1. a high skill champion, who requires a lot practice to master
  2. He's fairly popular. One of the most popular champions in the game( in the top 10 on NA,EUNE,EUW,but not Korea).

If we must go by your point of view. A significant of Yas players, haven't even come close to mastering him. Better?

DunkinNoobs3 votes

You should probably match your stats to the sources you cited. Yasuo's winrate in diamond is 48.5%, not 51.5%. That's a totally reasonable place to be a in a meta where immobile, high damage adcs are dominating.

Answers:

1: Terrible players don't know how to play against him. Its not really an argument that proves anything. But the statement is probably true :P Again, not sure what it proves, and any Yasuo player with sense isn't using this in any argument about balance.

2: Obviously, no one is forcing RIOT to do ANYTHING. This kind of argumentation should be ignored. Again, highly doubt this is used to by the majority of Yasuo players to argue anything.

3: People DO ban him because they hate him. And? I mean, its their right, and its a reason stated quite often on the boards.

4: I would argue that his lack of picks in the LCS is only used to argue that he isn't OP/untouchable/overloaded(this word needs defined) etc etc... Anyone who thinks Yasuo is an OP champ clearly has no idea what they are talking about. Because EVERYTIME a champion is ACTUALLY OP, they are in LCS play... See juggernaut Skarner...

1.50.5% winrate in plat 51.5% in diamond. 2.Currently the 5th highest winrate toplane champion in the game. 3.Riven,Vayne,fiora all hated yet none of them has been on a 40%+ banrate since their release. 4.30 champions get picked in the LCS most of which have low winrates in solo queue because they are balanced around LCS ex. ryze.

1: These stats are not accurate, check again. (someone else has already pointed this out in the thread, so Im not repeating)

2: 5th highest top laner... 5th... and I am going to BET based on his average KDA (cough worst in game cough) and average deaths per game (cough #1 or #2 MOST deaths per game) that he didn't carry many of them. Just saying.

3: Riven/Vayne/Fiora are indeed all hated to some degree by some players. Yasuo is apparently more so. What exactly are we getting at here? Mob rule and popular opinion doesn't determine what is true. Remember, at one time, the popular theory was that the world was flat and riding atop a giant turtle...

4: MOST have low winrates in solo queue? Im willing to bet that isnt true... Regardless... what does it prove? Nothing. Yasuo's abscence, as pointed out early, means pros don't think he is strong enough to play on that stage.

Is Yasuo annoying to play against? Yes, according to the popular opinion of the player base. But that is all that information proves. Is that he is viewed as annoying by a lot of people. Nothing else.

Rend The Dawn1 votes

Yasuo had a 36% winrate at release.

Lauchmelder2 votes

Azir and Ryze had that long after they got released and nobody even gave a damn.

Skorch1 votes

Isnt 50.5% Winrate balanced?

Rainfall2 votes

not for a champion that is supposed to be difficult or late game focused.

Poske2 votes

Yasuo isnt lategame focused who told you that?

He is more of item spike focused

Yaśuo Main1 votes

His Q does less damage than his auto attacks late game, pretty sure he isn't late game focused.

Arakadia1 votes

Doesn't that just mean his damage becomes more reliable?

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Ehhh not really, it just drags his Q damage down. It doesn't increase his auto attack damage.

Skorch2 votes

Nooooo, that claim is incredoubly wrong, the important part is winrate per games played for hard champions, not winrate alone.

Yasuo has a HUGE spike from 0-20 games meaning once you learn him you get 50%, Thats how a skilled champion is supposed to work.

On top of that Yasuo has a sub-50% winrate in every elo tier except bronze, i dont know what website youre using.

Arakadia1 votes

Well, generally speaking, a balanced champion with a very high pick rate should have a lower win rate.

Stars Shaper1 votes

Accurately avoiding any sensed argument made in favor of Yasuo just to point out all the most debatable ones.

Good job, you really are on the good way to "false news" spreading.

FantasySniper1 votes

Vayne and Fiora have been at 50+ ban rate before, but the rest of your points are valid.
