Anyone Else Seeing Black Loading Screens Today?

A lot of remakes today and people saying they have black loading screens in my games.

I haven't loaded in to games any slower than before, but the loading screen has changed quite a bit for me within a similar time frame.

First of all, the screen is all black for like half a minute, where it used to only be that way for like a second or two, and while it does that you can see Bots at 100% if you are playing a bot game (just the words not the splash arts or borders) and the Tip. Recently I can see everyone's names before borders, splash arts, and icons. It is like it is progressively taking longer and doing less pieces at a time every patch as it assimilates the information for load screen. Another odd thing it has been doing for several patches is that everyone gets to 100% together, unless they are on toasters or something, in which case that one person loads differently than everyone else. Being friends with someone who plays on a potato, I know for him that it will sit on black screen forever, then absolutely everyone goes to 100% together when he can finally see it, meaning he doesn't see himself loading slower than everyone even though he knows he is. In general it (being the server or our computers or whatever) just seems to be processing stuff way differently.

I get it black but it displays the text (Names of Summoners and Skins, Ping, Percent Loaded) but no summoner icons, keystone, background, or splashes.

For me its a black loading screen, black health bars, and occasionally black summoner spells... its annoying. happening for several patches for me.

I was getting this too, finally someone suggested turning on my monitor. It totally fixed the problem and my win-rate has gone up slightly!

it seemed to have fixed itself besides for it being all black for the first few seconds luckily. also i tried repairing and it didnt work.

Just happened to me. No major problems, just recently black loading screen. Cpl minutes laters I get the "You have disconnected popup" I try and reconnect. Games been remade and I get 5 game 20min LPQ.

System working as intended. sighs

Same but managed to get in before it was remade (we obviously lost since the enemies had a good 2 levels on me when i made it to lane.)

My friend was booted before the load screen came up and it gave an error that the recent patch broke his installation and needed to repair. Same game, my loading screen stayed black except for summoner names and loading % for a good 3 minutes before finally loading in. After that initial game, the load screen was a little slow, but otherwise back to normal. My friend got a nice message about leaving games once he loaded back into the client.

... you can literally google search it or even half a second on reddit using /all or if your paranoid mouse hover the link at which point it will show you the full url it links to which is reddit.

ok it was deleted for unrelated?... my bad for assuming riot actually cares about an internet for all and rightly thought this was just them honouring the day of action event.

ISPs have nothing to do with this. It has to do with LoL handling connections to server very very badly.

All I've been getting is that it will be black at first, but I can still see the names, and it takes like 20 seconds for it to go back to normal

Yes, started about 2 patches ago for me too. TONS of bugsplats, almost every single game. And I never ever got those before.

I've been getting them. They eventually load through it, but I actually see the people and such before the background shows up.

I start with black loading screens only seeing the 'tips'. I've seen the black health bar once.

Me, and a few other non-premade teammembers just experienced horrible lag. Whenever I would encounter an enemy bot (I played a bot match to relax) my ping would spike to 600+, similarly this happened to others. Had 3 disconnects despite my internet connection being stable.

I've had it for the past patch. I normally fix it to minimize then open back up. It works out. I hope they fix it to a good chunk of players(Including myself).

same here, and a lot more crashes than usual. League client has always been unstable for me, but more so since the last update.

Everything is black for me, champ portraits, background, etc but i can still see connect %s, champion/skin names, my ping, etc. I also constantly get "You have disconnected, check connection and try again" yet my wifi will be full bars and i can do anything else in an instant. Thought it was a pc issue, guess not.

I have that issue also from patches ago. But this time. It's longer. I don't see that loading screen and I end up in the game. Then when game ended, the Victory doesn't show up. **And now I need to deal with unable to log in?! **[slayer-jinx-unamused]

Tried to get into a game and kept getting that error box with it being unable to connect to the game been really annoying man been trying for the past 10 minutes but no luck :(

I've been getting black screens, but only if I try to alt+tab during the load screen or sometimes after a game ends.

Ever since this patch I've always had a difficult time loading into game and yes I do get a black screen. Really frustrating :( item 3070

Hey I thought it was just my computer going slow. Yeah, when it's about to go into loading screen, it shows the character portrait frames but screen is black and you see the names but takes a while till it goes into the loading screen and loads everything up.

Been about two months that I get those, and when it's not a black screen, the load screen completely disapears to show my desktop while I still have the game's cursor. The only thing that works when it's like that is disconnecting from my Windows session and completely reopen the game. Sometimes I Wonder: if Rito can't keep the game the game balanced and can't keep the game/client healthy technically... what the hell are they doing?
