@Meddler (and Everyone else), Evelynn Rework Idea - Discuss my idea with me? (If you're free)
Meddler! If you're free, I'd love for you to come and Meddle around with my idea!
I'm curious as to how balanced this would be on a champion in the game, which is why I'm posting this in G&B.
Evelynn is considered to be rather cancerous strong when ahead, but useless when behind. I've been playing her since S2, and I think she needs a juggernaut level kit rework to shove her onto the right path.
Her abilities are either too powerful or too weak, her scaling is weird, her ult isn't what it once was because it was too effective (Though there are ults that have more effectiveness right now) and thus unbalanced at the time.
After all the nerfs, I know she's still viable but I'd like for her to be more viable along the lines of her assassin theme.
So, here's my reimagining of her kit into more of a terrifying mobile assassin jungler. Like a more sneaky Rengar that can't ability queue combo you to death in under 1 second. Less tankiness and more squishiness to her kit, but more damaging scariness.
My overall premise is increased Risk and Reward.
>(New) ** Passive** - Terror of the Night
>When stealthed, Evelynn's next damaging ability is Empowered and gains bonus effects. After exiting stealth, the next damaging ability within 5 seconds will be empowered. If no ability is empowered, the empowerment bonus is lost.
This is the biggest change, changing her passive into an active ability while increasing her overall damage while reducing her sneakiness to a level where people won't cry "It's not fair that I never spot her with ordinary wards!"
>(New) First Ability - Hateful Spikes Range: 500 Cost 14/20/26/32/38 Cooldown: 2 Seconds Launch an Auto-Targeted line of spikes towards the nearest enemy unit (Prioritizing Champions), dealing 50/70/90/110/130 (0.45 AP at all levels) damage to all enemies hit. Hateful spikes deal double damage to large monsters.
>Hitting an enemy Champion with a Hateful Spike increases its damage by 25% for 4 seconds, stacking up to 4 times.
>Empowered: Fires Empowered Hateful Spikes, gaining 200 range and dealing double damage. The Next three Hateful Spikes after the first will deal double damage if cast within 8 Seconds of the first.
I like her Hate Spikes, but I think they should be something scarier if she's allowed to hit you a bunch with them. Hence, this idea.
>(New) Second Ability - Whispers of the Dark Cost: None Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds, Cooldown is not reduced by CDR and does not start until Evelynn unstealths.
>Evelynn stealths for 4/5/6/7/8 seconds, while gaining a massive movement speed boost that rapidly decays over 2 seconds. (40/50/60/70/80% Movement speed) >Kills reset this cooldown, while assists reduce it by 50%
A risk and reward stealth ability, giving power when ganking successfully but punishing escaping a failed gank harshly. This kind of change would give a higher rewards from ganking but give more risk as well.
>(New) Third Ability - Ravaging Strikes Cost: 90 Cooldown: 10
>Evelynn's next two attacks within 5 seconds gain bonus effects on hitting an enemy.
>First Attack: Deal 50/60/70/80/90% of Evelynn's Total AD as bonus physical damage on hit
>Second Attack: Deal 60/70/80/90/100% of Evelynn's AP as bonus magic damage on hit
>Empowered: Evelynn's first attack does 25% increased damage and her second attack mauls the enemy, stunning them for 1 second.
Giving her third ability some oomph and counterplay in the form of running away or getting and staying out of her melee range. I think this would be an overall healthy change, doing a lot of damage while being telegraphed enough that you'd see it coming.
>(New) Ultimate Ability - Frenzy and Agony Range 400 Range 800 Cost: 140/120/100 Cooldown: 140/120/100
>1st Activation, Frenzy: Dash to an enemy champion and mark them for Agony for 5 seconds
>2nd Activation, Agony: The Mark activates, dealing 250/325/400 (0.2/0.3/0.4 AP) damage over 3 seconds.
>Empowered: Agony damage is increased by 1% per 1% of the marked enemy's missing HP.
What do you guys think?
