Preseason is here and looks completely unprepared for. Nothing from it nor season 7 is fixed.

you misunderstand the idea that they think these things are a problem. This is just as intended for them so there is no "fixing" there's just deal with it. Shit i wish we had the previous jungle as it was a lot more entertaining and fluent and this one is dull but that's already forgotten.

I gave riot time since the what? four? Canceled fighter reworks. Ardent meta i waited patiently half a year. I endured dynamicQ for over a year. Enough is enough. Riot is unwilling or unable to do anything. Yeah obviously they are not changing it RIGHT NOW AT CHRISTMAS but there is no other choice but to make clear something needs to happen and a lot of people are not willing anymore to just sit back and hope for something to happen. Kinda riots own fault they already revealed a lot of stuff they are aiming for in 8.1/8.2 so obviously people are starting NOW to bitch about in hopes of riot changing something in those patches.

Riot is far from a bad company, but I think they should at least listen to what the community wants in the smallest time possible. The problem with Riot is that they don't often quickly respond to what the community wants and would occasionally delay in their response.

Nah, y'know what the real problem is? Riot is a company riot actually does a lot what the "community" wants, problem is the vast majority of the community are unranked casuals and couldn't give any shit about balance and riot is running into the same trap a lot of other companies ran into by catering towards the huge casual whales coming in overseeing those will only be a quick cash in until they move on and it kinda contradicts the point of riot to make league a long lasting esports title which they said themselves they aim for. If that is what they want it seems even more depressing how they ignore a lot of feedback from the higher elo community who is very dedicated about ranked (thinking about plat+ here in general, not saying lower elo doesn't have concerns or anything). Breaking the game to make pro play more "enjoyable" to watch doesn't help that either.

Game development was a mistake. In no other industry where you get paid a salary can you just skip out on a month and do literally fucking nothing and have some kid come white knight defense for why it's christmas therefore you get to not work for 31 days.

^ Just look at the huge outcry when people said "fire the balance team", people reacted as if we called for another holocaust. I say what i always said, if literally anyone else would work in the free market economy like a lot do in the gaming industry we had unemployment rates of 50% because companies would kick them the fuck out and replace them with people willing to work. I'm not saying noone is working at riot but i can't think of any other branch that allows you to literally do nothing for a month.

Let me give you a scenario:

I have a perfectly passable and functioning project that I have to present to people.

October ends, we're going into holiday season.

I decide to take a hammer to my project and destroy the entire thing because I feel like redoing it right now.

I proceed to find little time to really work on it and kind of fall off in interest because it's the holidays.

My boss asks where the hell the project is a month and a half later.

I say, "I mean, come on. It's the holidays. Do you really expect me to have it ready right now? Wait until after Christmas."

Would you explain to me how I would not be considered a complete fuckface in this scenario?

Like, this is even ignoring the plethora of issues before they even released the patch.

According to leagueofgraphs, up to Plat+ he has decent pickrate (8-6%) with good winrate (circa 51%), he may be considered weak in Dia+ where he has meh pickrate (4.4%), but even then still 50% winrate (all regions, Mid role). He may not be broken, but with that pickrate and winrate, he doesn't seem like something I'd call "dumpstered" either. With Penns' comments, it's mostly that he preferred the old one, not neccesarily that the new one would be dumpstered and he wanted buffs. Although he does call for buffs now and then, I consider that mostly comedy.

I really can't say anything else than that they are actually lazy as fuck. What have they done in three months now? Yes they worked half a year on the new runes, fine but then? Literally change like 20 numbers and pray it'll work out. In those three months they could have already made new keystones for the champs lacking decent options (hello fighters), reworked PtA for example, made a whole another tree. Nothing happened. What do they say? "preseason is for testing things out and shaking things up". What do they do? Release a dumpster fire together with the mess that piled up the year before, swap out a few numbers and call it a day. Those guys EASILY earn 5-10k a MONTH as developers and software engineers.

Christmas has nothing to do with it. They changed nothing for too long. Excuses left and right why they cant do this and that. All the balance changes either doing nothing to stop broken champs from being oppressive or screwing champion compptetely without any reasonable argument. And now pre season mess hasnt been fixed for a month and its patch 8.1 soon.
