I know...I just got Dark Souls II - Scholar of the First Sin for the 360. Difficult as drek, but strangely FAIR in how difficult it is.

Though...am I a bad person for cheesing those Ogres in the beginning part by luring them to a doorway they can't go through and flinging spells at them? (Easiest...1000 souls each...EVER!)

Apparently each dragon has a different effect on their attacks.

Red has AOE. Water has a slow. Earth is more durable (I forgot the specifics). Air has faster attack speed/single-target damage.

Apparently Earth attacks slowly but does more damage than the others, as well as being AoE.

I played a few custom games they are all aoe still. Water slows with its attacks, earth is tankier, Air moves quicker and has a higher attack speed, fire hits harder and the AOE is bigger.

They've confirmed that Morde gets the same dragon no matter what element it is that he kills. Only the elder is different

Yeah, it hit a bit hard but there's a couple tricks morde players can use to adapt to lane. For instance if you start on red side you're at a distinct advantage. With W attachable to minions you can become a healing blender a la garen, then once you've taken a particularly nasty amount of damage you can go to golems , and heal ALL YOUR HEALTH BACK. By the time you return often they'll have thought you left lane to back, either pushing carelessly or backing themselves, leaving you to go wild and level up faster than them.

Just make sure not to kill them, leave that to the jungler. Another option is to heal off the crab.
