How many loses at 0 LP before you get demoted?
In Gold 5 just dropped to 0 LP so upset with ranked 1/10 Tryndamere really want the Maokai skin but don't want to get demoted so how many games will I lose before I get demoted to silver 1?

It depends on your current MMR. It can be 3 games, it can be 10+ games.
What's the minimum games lost?
Minimum would be 1, assuming you weren't freshly promoted to gold (and thus would have immunity) if you have a trash mmr.
You'd not really at risk for demotion from a tier until your have a mmr a full tier below, and unless you're finding yourself in a lot of games with silver 4 people currently, I wouldn't worry.
How can I tell what my MMR is?
OP.GG (and other sites) will provide approximations. However, Riot doesn't expose your actual MMR and it can't been seen.
You can't find out exactly, but you can use third party approximations from sites like op.gg, and in practice you can usually tell by the ranks of those you're matched with (although that's pretyt rough as well).
If you're consistently being matched with silver 4/3 people it'd be a sign your mmr is in the silver 4 ballpark, which is get close to the silver 5 mmr threshold for getting demoted from gold.
Don't chance it. I lost 1 game at 0 LP at Silver 1 (had been higher for a few games) and got dropped back to Silver 2.
that is a different threshold from getting demoted from Gold 5 to Silver 1. There's sort of a safety net mechanism to stop you from dropping to a lower tier.
I believe you have to have the mmr of Silver 5 and lose to get demoted. So A LOT of games.
Wait why do I have the MMR of a Silver 5? I'm Gold 5...
Your MMR has to drop to the level of a silver 5, then you will get demoted when you lose.
It used to be that you could never get demoted from plat/gold/silver 5 etc. Now you can, but you have to lose so much that your mmr is the same as a tier below the one your are.
Considering OP.GG says you've played a lot of DUO games, your MMR may be lower or higher as it can't calculate an accurate area.
The game will warn you when you are close to falling from a Tier, other then that it's hard to say.
