How to make post-season less toxic?

Ideas? Should riot implement a season ranked ban, if punishable ban happens 3 times? It would really deter some toxic behavior and remove rewards from the bad people.

Call this idea crazy, but what if people had to buy a season pass to play ranked? Like, say you had to drop $30-$40 to have the ability to play ranked for a year, and as incentive you get the champs released that year included, or maybe a package of Blue, Orange, and RP?

I would imagine if people had to buy in to play ranked, that there would be far more incentive to not troll or be toxic, and could give Riot another layer of punishment, enough bad behavior revoking your right to ranked for the rest of the year.

That would defeat the purpose of "free to play" considering that you'd also then be locking all rewards given for ranked queues behind a $30-40 barrier. I for one would not pay this, I take ranked seriously enough to not have to spend that much money for a queue that makes me stressed enough as it is.

The game would still be free to play. If paying to have a ranked pass was a thing, at most three queue types on two maps would be gated. Five other queues across four maps would still be free. Of course by doing this you would have to pay to play ranked and would by extension be paying to get any reward. The upside? Hopefully a better standard of play. If people had to pay, would they be as likely to rage, flame, and lose their ranked pass? Would people be as likely to just troll for fun? Or how many smurfs would intentionally poison lower elos? You may not like the idea, but it's an idea of how ranked play could be held fairly to a higher standard of conduct than across casual modes.

IDK the ftp game is the selling point. I wouldnt want to pay this. I just feel like stricter, yet fair punishment such as perma-ban from ranked rewards that season at like 5 bannable reports, then at 7 reports they get barred from ranked but not norms.
