Funnel Comps Weren't Fun In 3v3s, And They're Not Fun In Summoner's Rift.

Back when Twisted Treeline was still a thing, funnel comps were a must in higher elos. If you were unlucky enough to be on the team without one, you had one chance in the beginning of the match to take control of things or the entire game became an unwinnable hostage situation. Back then, Riot refused to do anything about funnel comps because they didn't want to discourage different playstyles.

Here's the thing, though: for the opposing team, funnel comps do not give you something to play against, creating an incredibly unfun match. There's no laner for you to match with, and the entire game becomes about you either playing safe freezing the wave under your turret, or mindlessly shoving the wave with no ability to take a tower for fear of the funnel returning.

For one side, there is no player interaction because of this strategy. Nerf the hell out of funnel comps.
