Cassiopeia is a shadow of her former self

Her twin fang nerfs were one thing, but now that Phase Rush is incredibly weak early compared to Stormraider's Surge her laning is abysmally bad compared to what it used to be. She isn't able to out damage or out maneuver laning opponents anymore now that everyone can take celerity, and Phase Rush will never have even close to the level of impact that Stormraider's did during her lane.

We're talking about a champion with no innate defenses besides miasma(which has a minimum cast range) and a situationally hard to land ult that can be easily outplayed. Cassiopeia has no 2 second Ryze root, or Azir dash/shield, or AoE Syndra stun, or Orianna shields.... her lane identity was always supposed to be a dangerous machine gun damage mage that could melt faces if she played her ranges perfectly in lane but was food if you jumped on her, but right now she just feels like a limp noodle and gets out traded by every other mid laner except Ryze.

A hyper carry that is also a lane bully, and you are complaining she's weak? I think the problem is in the mirror bud.

Hypercarries with a strong focus on lategame are unplayable in the current 20-25 minute curbstomp meta. You either snowball your lane or you're unviable, that's the simple truth.

Sorry dude, but you are 100% wrong. It's still an ADC meta and whoever wins bot wins 90% of the time. All the ADC hypers doing really well right now.

ADCs happen to be hypercarries who also have very strong early games due to their snowbally nature and superior itemization. Not every hypercarry falls under the same category. Meanwhile Cass is forced to rush 3 mana-items before she actually gets any damage.

Also you just proved my point that lanephase is all that matters in the current meta, so a strong early game is mandatory to even function as a carry champ.

Have you tried using Fleet Footwork? It provides stronger MS than Phase Rush early as well as a pittance of sustain that scales with AP. It may not be better that Phase Rush late game but it still may increase your mileage with Cass

It only works off basic attacks and Cassiopeia should never be in basic attack range past her early lane. Also precision only gives starting attack speed which is useless on Cassiopeia.

Yes but you were complaining about how bad PR is for her laning phase. Fleet footwork should improve that. I have seen quite a few mages running FF for the mobility and sustain even though it isn't as good as PR come end game. This is simply because the advantage they get from Footwork just helps them more.
