Why are Skin Boosts limited to ARAM?

Just wondering why this feature is limited to ARAMs (excluding temporary game modes)? Or I should say the Howling Abyss to be more accurate. I dont understand why you cant do this on Summoner's Rift or Twisted Treeline. Especially in norms where people may not be playing their main or just trying a new champ.

Is there any reason why this feature is limited? I can't see a reason why it should be. It's a win-win for Riot and the players. Riot gets a little bit of money and the players get a skin to use. They can also boost team morale and maybe help prevent some toxicity. I can't see it affecting skin sales really considering you only get to use the skin for one game.

Thoughts? Can anyone think of a single drawback to having Skin Boosts in SR and TT?

I think they put it there because it would the most "impact" there since people are more likely to be playing champ they don't normally play, and nice skin might temp them to buy a new champ AND the skin, but I do agree. It really couldn't hurt to have it on the other maps, but I'm sure there's some rabid riot fanboys out there who will argue its not beneficial to riot and they have it this way for a reason just because they like argue.

It would suck pretty fucking horribly if the game was a remake.

You get refunded if the game is a remake...

riot implemented Skin boosts for the first time in a game called Nemesis draft, in which you had your champ chosen for you by enemies. this was to compensate the "bad" feeling of not controlling your pick. When it was pointed out ARAM also lacks control of picks and I think a forum goer themself suggested adding it, they said sure and implemented it, so basically Skin Boosts are there to help you feel better about a champ you'd otherwise dislike playing. In a sort of ironic twist the IP boost they tacked on just because you also couldnt control the skin you unlock is the primary reason ive ever boosted. Like legit ive never cared about the skins if i skin boost its wanting that extra 200 IP tbh.

so i guess to answer your question, skin boosts are usually placed on games where you dont control your champ selection (ARAM as well as ARURF, OFA, Nem Draft, and ARSR)

What's a skin boost?

They might not want to take up space in the champion select screen

Sounds good, but I'm still traumatized from the time someone used a skin boost in my brother's ARURF game I think it was. Long story short he didn't get a skin for Twitch , who he was playing as

Honestly, I would lean more towards it being placed there to entice players to choose that game type more often.

Though placing it in all modes would promote more spending of RP probably, but people would likely waste much needed time begging for skin boost.
