yasuo is a strong champion , but most of players play cocky with him

We all know that yasuo is a strong or even broken if i may .. and the players know it. and they go 1v1 with all minions attacking them etc they dive towers they spam E through minions and waste the getaway option if you get ganked
in general people are very cocky with yasuo that's why most of yasuos feed . Don't play like this or at least don't play SO cocky

i agree,

he's also a unique case as he's one of the few melee champions that can effectively duel ranged matchups and win

He gotta be godlike on someone's "yours" team.

If you get what I am trying to say.

imo the best yasuo players most of the time are actually the ones that dont spam him but use him as pocket pick. they are more likely to play a "controlled aggression" (dont know a better word for this?) style where he absolutely shines instead of going "HASAGI!! ILL CARRY YOU SHITTY TEAMMATES!!" same goes for a lot of other champs aswell (lee, riven and vayne coming to my mind)

No way. Especially those who use him as a pocket pick tend to feed. Only mains are able to develop a more efficient style, most with few games played on him have a super shitty winrate and kda.

In my experience, it's the opposite, where yasuo mains (100+ games) are the ones who learn the controlled aggression play style

People who pocket pick him tend to either feed, or do nothing but farm in lane due to being hyper aggressive, or hyper passive

His entire kit does demand him to play aggressive. He has no disengage unless he's balls deep in your wave.

Pretty much this.

The trick to playing him is to be constantly watching your opponent so you can engage when they make a mistake, and retreat if they suddenly become agressive

then how do you explain most of cocky yasuos feed ? ^__^ i won 2 games against yasuo top today 1st game yasuo main , super aggresive 2-12 2nd game yasuo "wannabe" main 5-23

Wannabe main, made me giggle. I like you

GULAG 4 U1 votes

Because the kit tells them to play aggressive? I just said that?

Darius players are the same way.

The key to beating a lane bully is playing into their pride and confidence, utilizing it to gain the upper hand.

This is why it makes sense for cocky champions to stay under 50% on the winrate system

No it's not a conspiracy against you, it's that those champions enable a playstyle that can easily throw you games Honestly if people played these champs more level headed, they would be around 55%-60% WR

Can't tell you how many times I have seen a game thrown from a dumb Lee play that gives them Baron and we get steamrolled, or a Zed who has 14 kills and a stupid solo only mentality to buffer his kills

You kinda need to be cocky to play Yasuo correctly. Same with champs like Riven and Vayne as well. In order to play these champs correctly, you need to play like you can't fail and hope things work out for you; timidness simply has no place in the toolkit of a Yasuo. He's a very aggressive champion by his very nature and you absolutely need that killer instinct and borderline arrogance to reach his potential.
