Why don't more people fight baron from behind it instead of in front?

I'm honestly surprised more people don't try to fight behind baron instead of in front of it. The main reason why getting behind it is helpful is because it only uses one attack when you're behind it. All it does is just shoot spikes out at you, which are easy enough to tank. It doesn't do the knockup or any of it's other annoying moves. So honestly, why do so many people choose to fight it from the front? I'm honestly curious.

Yea but you don't have to deal with his knockup, or any of the other moves he does when you're in front of it.

Rear attacks Baron does not like being hit in the back. People standing behind Baron and outside the pit are hit by an AOE spike attack that deals physical damage to all targets hit and stuns them for 1 second.

He stuns people behind him.

So you only have 1 person attack from behind while he focuses someone else. Why is this so hard to understand?

Also, if you're concerned about getting low as a tank, consider this. He has an armor shred ability when you attack him from the front. So wouldn't it be worse to attack him front the front because of said armor shred?

what happens if you dont have flash? or using a champion that doesnt have a dash tanking the baron from behind? why trap yourself in if the enemy comes and fights? what happens if you get low as the tank and have to walk out? now your path is farther and have the risk of dying from baron or an incoming enemy.

Most of it's attacks from the front are able to be evaded, aside from it's basic attacks.
