Thank you riot for the cinderhulk nerfs on PBE
I thought it was getting ridiculous that champions like
were able to outdamage and outduel
at early levels with only a skirmishing cinderhulk

I like the direction of the changes.
I do want to touch on the fact that it isn't strictly a nerf. It's a nerf to its combat effectiveness and a buff to camp clears on tank junglers that run Cinderhulk because its damage is higher against monsters. This is strictly a nerf to top laners who run Cinderhulk.
For junglers, this is a nerf to junglers that get invaded in the early game because of the lower Cinderhulk damage and a buff to junglers that don't get invaded because of the faster clears that Cinderhulk provides. Late game it's basically the same because at that point in the game you care more about tanking tons of damage and do not care about being able to deal it. You don't really care about Cinderhulk's damage, and the bonus damage against monsters that Cinderhulk will likely have next patch is not important at that stage of the game.
As much as I've personally benefited from it on my Jg
, it has been kind of ridiculous that I can outduel any champion in the game the moment I finish my cinderhulk. Good change, especially since it will also most likely force AD bruisers like Vi, Lee, Reksai, and Xin Zhao to stop buying Cinderhulk and go back to warrior like they're supposed to. Because as it stands right now, there is pretty much no reason to not get cinderhulk if you're playing a melee champion, regardless of who it is. I've been playing Cinderhulk Yi and wrecking people, ffs.
You know, I think it's fair.
Tanks keep their defensive power, their offense is toned down (now sunfire's cape is more appealing!), and their clearing is basically unaffected (which was one of their main weaknesses early game).
Damaged tone down, clearing/defense unaffected. Everybody gets something out of this.
