If players don't call Mia who's to blame?

The lane that got ganked or the lane that's one man empty? As Annie, I have no mobility and when ganks do happen, I die 9/10 times without flash or ult.

The mid for not pinging and the one that got ganked for not having proper map awareness and wards both.

Yup as much as people like to blame we as the team gotta suffer the consequences from allowing Leblanc to get free kills

who the hell do you think??

calling mia isn't a requirement

sure it's nice, but what if they're busy, dead, in a fight, etc?

pls dont ask dumb quetsions. Its obviously the fault of whoever died

If they are in a fight, chances are their lane isn't missing. If the jungle is fighting a laner and the laner didn't die, you should immediately ask what is going on. If they are dead then they have plenty of time to ping a mia. A ping takes what? A second, maybe 2? If you can't do that in between last hitting then I'm worried mate.

maybe you should learn to pay attention to the map and not rely on a mia ping

I don't need to explain in detail why a ping isn't always possible

if you don't understand that already well then there's no hope

anyone with at least 1/3rd of a brain can understand

I'm not disagreeing that you should pay attention to the map. Pinging is helpful, not necessary. We agree on that.

I am generally curious as to these reasons, because the only one I can agree with is the fighting one. Which, once again, if you are fighting your laner then obviously they aren't missing and no MIA is needed. If you are fighting a jungler in lane, and you didn't kill the opposing laner, then the rest of your team needs to be worried. Once again though, if you are fighting then I don't expect the MIA ping unless you are safe.

most common complaints about mia pings i see, the ping was actually there.

however, it was after a recall, and some time has passed and instead of coming back to lane, they gank somewhere.

Or you get the kill on them. Generally people dont ping mia after killing someone, because the kill should say "yo this guys not in lane anymore." Before coming to lane they gank, or notice their junglers in a fight and help out. couple seconds later "why no mia?"

If you can ping mia, you should do it. But players should not rely on a mia ping.

I agree it's fucking annoying to die and realize someone didn't ping mia. It's happened to me before and it'll happen again one day. But there's nobody to blame but myself

doesn't help that alot of players don't even pay attention to the mia ping anyway.

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, I get the ping was there but they didn't register it and then flame. I agree.

I could only use my habits as a basis. After an enemy recalls, I usually ping MIA after 5 seconds of them being gone.

When they are dead I push, once the timer is up I count to five, back off and ping.

Yes, I get this makes me slightly different than I guess the norm in bronze/silver in that regards.

So once again, I thank you for the clarification.

They died cause no one said someone was missing and didn't think they needed to prepare for it. Pinging mia means "hey my laner is missing, prepare for cause they might go to your lane."

sounds like a personal problem if you died and aren't looking at the map

are you telling me you're gonna get ganked by the jungler even tho it's warded cus you refuse to look at the map?

You must be fun at parties being this special.

The mia ping is needed. You should learn to be a team player instead of a toxic solo player that doesn't like his team. Cause that's what kind of person you are sounding like with this kind of self centered personality.

The support or the Jungler

Imperial Pandaa1 votes

Blame the jungler and support!

No, but really it is both the lane missing and the gank recipient. They could of called Mia as soon as they notice their laner is missing. However, the person being ganked can also peek at the minimap and wonder, "Where is x?" I mean we are already curious when we aren't sure about the jungler.

dolphinosplash241 votes

You have a minimap as well. you can also notice that their laner is missing

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

The audial cue is there to save you. Oftentimes, depending on your matchup, some people just can't spend time focusing on the minimap. Maybe they're trying to dodge a barrage of GP barrels. And the player ganked can't know if the other person's opponent just backed, or is roaming, or what.

Titanium701 votes

That's nonsense.

Roams don't happen in a second or two! Everytime you're stuck in an animation - such as the AA animation while CSing - you can easily look at the minimap for short. 'Short' is the crucial term here - if you train this and do this on regular base you can get every little information you need about the position of all enemys (and you really learn the value of deep vision).

People just want someone to blame so they say, "report bla bla no ss". Most of the time they will die either way.

Athenes Lulu1 votes

I mean, you should have some map awareness after all...

Yourself for not watching the damn minimap.

But you are Bronze 5 so i doubt you know what that is.

It is everyone's fault. It is mid lanes fault for not pinging MIA and the predicted lane that would be ganked. It is junglers fault for not doing the same since he has so much downtime and jungling is all about analysing lanes and picking the most efficient jungle routes, and the lane that is victim of the gank for not having map awareness and not warding his lane accordingly.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

if mid does call mia well in advance and bot lane still dies....

whos to blame?

Mr Killalot1 votes

Ultimitely, it's each individuals job to know where all 5 members of the opposing team are.
