We lost loot, lp, and now have LeaverBuster giving us extended queues times because of your server issues Riot. Tell me this is fair!

What company hasnt experienced server problems?? I mean cmon give riot a break. Servers have problems sometimes..technology isnt perfect. Servers going down isnt something that is fixed in 2 minutes.

Server problems aren't the issue. It's being punished for them. Compensation mode didn't activate which it supposedly does automatically. There were 0 losses averted. And many of us were punished for it in addition to losing lp. The fact is that while playing ranked you do in fact find situations where you must dodge queue do to trolls or some other horrifying concept. Which is why riot let's you normally bounce around leaver buster once or twice with just being forced to wait for another game. The fact it jumps from 5 to 30 is stupid as hell but those "minimal" dodge penalties are there for a reason. Adding never being able to connect do to them having a server bug giving those people whom actually dodge the xxx role or feed, and the people trying to actuallly take troll pick into xxx role the low priority queue is heinous. Additionally riot didn't notice the problem for over 3 hours. Then once they did they did not respond appropriately by disabling ranked but instead only put a message up saying you may dc during game. Disconnection once is nowhere near never being able to connect after disconnecting, and yes, after dcing in one game you could never reconnect.

This issue isn't that the servers went down, it happens, servers aren't perfect and errors do occur.

The issue is that the community is being punished by RIOT's system due to an error on their end, and they're incapable of amending this punishment.

He very well could have bought a skin before joining queue, doesn't change the fact they make HUGE money from us and we're getting banned for an issue on their side. I've only spent a couple thousand on this but I know some have spent lots.

I sent a ticket to get my leaverbuster removed and got the automatic response that they have to treat leaves equally regardless of if it's me actually leaving/afking or the problem being acknowledged on their side. Pretty sure they're not going to be removing any leaverbusters.

It's still a mark on your account which can result in higher penalties if you have another disconnection. Still, other people will want to know this.

is Riot holding a gun to your head to continue queue'ing despite knowing the server is having problems? Shit happens, but that doesn't excuse you bending over and taking another whiff just because you felt like it.

You're implying that everyone continued to queue repeatedly after the servers went down, which isn't true. Furthermore RIOT's failure to notify everyone that there was an issue until an hour or so after the servers went down isn't the customers problem, we shouldn't be the ones figuring out when RIOT's servers have gone down, or are having issues, that is the companies responsibility.

It's also the companies responsibility to prevent their systems from punishing players due to their servers failure, which they clearly didn't do.

Hey there,

We're aware that some server issues are happening and we're trying to fix them now. I know that it sucks to get Leaver Buster from this, however, we can't change the outcome. Leaver Buster does have leeway so for the average player, a server issue won't affect a player. However, if the player has been leaving or idling in game recently, then a server issue can affect them and it looks like that's what happened here. We don't have a way to change the outcome of the game or you being put in the Low Priority Queue.
