Every-time a player receives honor, additional ip should be awarded.

People will abuse it, especially premades. You're gonna have people in all of your games spamming "honor me pls" on the chat. So it's a no by me.

make it small, like 50 ip, and put a limit. They already made it so you spamming your buddy honor doesnt contribute to them getting a badge, so make spamming not give ip. Then put a daily limit, like 2-3 honor a day

50 ip? 10 or 15 sounds enough

Hunted90001 votes

Only getting 10 or 15 extra ip from only 3 honors a day would be super irrelevant, at least 150 ip would be like getting a first win bonus.

1 - You get limited honors 2 - More premaids can equal less trolls because trolls have no friends (hopefully) 3 - "Honor me pls" is a lot better than "Uninstall you mac pro(trash can) feeding nuub" I don't mind if more people spam this if they don't spam ping me. 4 - Could just make premades unable to honor each other while making it so that the persons who queued with the honored summoner get a fraction like about 25% or so (This encourages teamwork and making friends. Something we need more of)

I typed this in the thread, but its similar to what you have so Il copy it over so the "abuse" people can stop saying nonsense.

Dawngate did this with their system by making the post game "honor" limited. You could basically honor 1 person every game and give a decent amount (though it would dwindle with each use), or you could honor everyone in the match and divide it by all of them. If you honored everyone in a match though you would only give about 1/3rd that smaller amount to everyone in the next match, and then you would be out.

You gained "honor" (not its actual name) by playing matches, win or lose, you got the right to spread more around. Dont give any out for a while because no one deserves it, or youre saving it up after giving so much out, then you can fill up on more honor to give out.

This essentially make "honor spammers" have no honor to spam as they run out. There are several ways to execute this and while I never saw a full breakdown on their post game "honor" system I believe it was something akin to this.

Total available honor for a player to give out is 100.

Honoring another player cost 60% of total honor.

Honor received by other player is reduced by 10 points, making the highest honor receivable 50 points from one player (60% of 100 -10 = 50).

Honor gained per eligible game 20.

Honoring 2 players at full honor would provide 32 honor to each: (60% of 100 = 60. + 60% of 40 = 24. 60 + 26 = 84. 84/2 = 42. 42 - 10 = 32).

Honoring all 9 other players in a match from full honor would result in each one receiving 1 honor point as (100/9 = 11.1 then minus 10 for each player receiving means 1 honor for each; subsequent honoring of multiple people will result in no honor being added as the fraction of honor will be less than the minus 10, though honor is still consumed).

Honoring your friends still consumes honor but at a -50 honor received.

So there you go. A system that can honor people while avoiding "spamming" of a finite resource thats wasted if you do it too often and doesnt work with friends.

Honors don't count if you honor someone multiple times, they could also just disable the ip awards for those on your friend's list.

PikanteKip1 votes

Ok, if people will abuse it you can't stop it either. Why not just give honor to the person you liked in your match? Premades will abuse it anyway. Or am I missing something?

Wolfess10 votes

it won't happen because then everyone just spams honors for extra IP in any supported game mode.

RenownedWheat423 votes

I can see it being semi-abused in premades, but 1) you're limited in how many honors you can give, and 2) who is gonna spam honors in solos?

Jihyobda4 votes

Honor is less valuable from premades

MissingKayo8 votes

People in premades shouldn't be able to honor each other at all if it gives even 1 IP bonus.

nice table1 votes

as someone who has 8 friends that boosted ribbons solely from playing premade i kind of doubt that.

RenownedWheat421 votes

How the fuck did they do that? Honors need to be given consistently from a large number of people. Do these folks have like hundreds of friends they play with?

nice table1 votes

nah they 5 man queued with the exact same ppl till they got em

RenownedWheat422 votes

That is literally 100% impossible. Honors are weighted differently when consistently given by the same people, and you run out of honors you can hand out.

nice table2 votes

ever seen anyone try it and fail? neither have i.

or simply premades can't honor each other. BOOM problem solved

You already get bonus IP from being in a premade though...

it would still encourage honor trading, even if only among friends to get bonus IP, I believe the same way they removed the referral system since it would get abused for people to get the medieval twitch skin and which warwick skin was it.... urf warwick? because people would just make multiple accounts or bots and use their main as reference and bam, free skin. With this it would just be to get IP faster, unlock more champs faster, and then sell the account for cash.

You use the "Alt Codes", I don't know if that's its official name, but basically you hold Alt and use your numberpad then let go of alt when you're done, for example the ™ is 0153

So you hold down Alt 0 1 5 3 Let go of Alt

oh so its one of those special characters, not actually typing "TM" and using superscript. cool thanks... i have always used superscript to type it.. as most other forums i go to support that...

If if would be 1ip per honer im totally on board. Otherwise it would be abused but with just the 1 you get that little recognition that actually does something.

Jet Sett2 votes

Already seeing the classic "Honor for honor plz" just like sub for sub or follow for follow. It's gonna be a a cringe fest.

Would be better than the toxicity, but not by a lot and not how we want to fix that issue.

Cowseed1 votes

wait!!!!! I know how to fix this. Make it so that you have to honor before entering the post game lobby. Or you could also limit who you give honors too. Like 1 or two enemy/teamates per match and decrease the max number of honors a player can keep. Meaning that the 'honor for honor' thing be virtually untrustable as there is little garantee that they can/will get anything in return. Plus you have to bring your best to get anything that game from the other players.

It can work. I'm a cheap bastared so I have to find a way.

Athenes Lulu2 votes

Make it so that it applies to from NON premades only.

Most of the time if people ask to give honor, they don't give a shit.

StoryDuck1 votes

I would love it but sadly too many people would que up with 4 friends and abuse the system. There would also be the issue of people begging for upvotes and reporting if they don't get it.

Queuing up with friends already gives IP boost doesn't it????

StoryDuck1 votes

yes but what's to stop them from getting even more?

CØulrophobia1 votes

Why?

Theorchero1 votes

No. Stupid idea to farm upvotes.

DaNinad1 votes

Then pentaqueues can just farm ip every game

ChemicalBuster1 votes

Said this before. Nobody listened :(

Randomonium1 votes

This would just encourage honor trading.
