Theory: Picking Fill will increase your chances of winning the match

Assuming you can play all roles efficiently and assuming you're comfortable with any role.

When you pick fill, you're filling the gap for your team, that means the players on your team will usually get the roles they're comfortable with and will play better.

Most of the time you will get support, but some times you can get top or jungle, I never got adc or mid playing this way. Just pick the most OP shit on your role and you're set.

When I get support I pick Janna, why? Because she is too easy and OP at the same time, even a brainless monkey can play her effectively. You can play Janna with a blindfold and still win lane & game... She can prevent even the dumbest of adcs from dying in lane and can make good ones win trades hard with her shield.

Top lane I get Tank Akali . You can't lose lane with Tank Akali because of all the sustain you have. You can easily farm under tower with your no CD E to help last hitting. After sunfire cape you just faceroll your opponent and splitpush all game.

Just go here: http://champion.gg/ And pick one of the top 5 champions on the role you got, you don't have to play perfectly, just basic game knowledge is enough to win playing this way.

It's a nice theory, but the thing is fill doesn't actually fill the weakest role in your team. It fills the least popular role in the system. Players for the most part are going to queue in their best roles. That means that even the least popular role is going to get filled by someone who is "reasonably competent" most of the time. It means that actually it is the most popular roles that are more likely to hold "less competent" players.

I think the best strategy for queuing involves an honest analysis of your personal competency in each role and the competency of the players who will fill the various roles you aren't playing weighted by the importance of the roles for carrying the game. For example, in the first few weeks of the new champion select it was apparent that players in the support role were under performing. I play a strong support so I queued as support and dominated games. As the game has developed, players are less likely to queue into the support role which has led to most of the players who do queue in that role playing it relatively competently compared to other roles. Players queue into popular roles they can't play well to increase their chances of getting a role they want. So then the analysis shifts to the question of how competently can I play the popular roles relative to all the players that are just queuing it because they want to play it or because they don't want to play support.

The strong champions strategy is also a good strategy.
