@riot: Do you have to re-earn that S for that chest (if day's limit reached)?

So I just want to clarify: Supposing I reached my chest limit for today (the current day) & the next chest would be three days from now. Then today I earn an S on champions I have not got an S on this season before. Would I get boxes for those champions that would appear when the next chest is available? (So a delayed delivery?) Or would I have to re-earn that rare S from scratch all over again (;_; cries depressed if this is the case "'OTL)

I just wanted to clarify this because even when looking at the guide ( https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207884233-Hextech-Crafting-Guide ) this still appears unclear (imo) and some people say re-earn, and some people say no, you still will get chests. I'm also confused because of a delayed delivery incident before which seemed to indicate delayed delivery of the chests is how it would go.

Thank you !

What is happening to me right now is that first, it did not list my S rank on those champs. Now it lists the S rank on those champs, but there is no border. No chest.

You must get the S again

It'll only unlock the chest if at the time of earning the S, you have an available chest to be earned and you haven't already earned a chest with that champion yet this season (and you own the champion).

If you earn an S rank on a champion you haven't unlocked a chest with but have no available chests to earn, then nothing special happens, although it'll update your highest season grade for that champ. If you do eventually want to earn a chest with that champion, you'll need to earn a fresh S- or higher on that champion once you have a chest available.

Theres no delayed delivery systems under normal circumstances (possibly if riots having some really weird issues where once the match finishes it takes awhile for the server to recognise that it's actually ended, then it might possibly occur once the match final registers, but most of the time that's not the case).

Keep in mind that you can also unlock a champion mastery chest without getting an S grade yourself if someone in your premade earns an S grade, so sometimes what might seem like a delayed chest (because you didn't earn an S grade yourself) might actually be due to a premade S grade in that particular match.

Yes, you must earn an "S" when you have a chest available. You don't store up "S" ratings and get chests when they become available. Think of it more like the "First win of the day" bonus IP.
