[Petition] Please add Custom games using Dominion map so we can play Hide and Seek again.

The purpose of this petiton is: please let us be able to play Dominion maps on custom games.

I loved Hide and Seek. One of the previous weekends, with Definitely Not Dominion, EVEN though you got rid of the Dominion map, EVEN though it has become impossible to play hide and seek and the playership has decreased a little because not everyone realized it was possible to play it again, people started up games and continued to actively play.

Why it's good to allow a variety of game modes: it allows for more creativity in the gameplay. It allows for people to become more inventive. It moves against stagnation.

I always loved playing a game of hide and seek or dominion after work, because it allowed me to unwind, and because I could choose my champion, it was an alternate field to try out champion mechanics. You can learn some champion mechanics in bot games, but the real champion mechanic learning is against other people. And hide and seek is just plain fun.

You can't use "no one plays hide and seek" as an excuse. Hide and seek is one of the most popular custom games and there is an active and dedicated hide and seek community. Even when you shut us down by getting rid of dominion as a custom map, the moment you allowed people to play custom map with the featured, people played. Back when you didn't shut down dominion, there usually was 2 - 3 or 4 -5 hide and seek games always running at any given time.

"You have no resources for it". You have resources for the weekend games. Why is it such a problem to allow us to use this map for Custom games?

Is the concern that you want everyone to move to Classic? Are you afraid of it getting too popular? If your answer is to cut off hide and seek, why not just ban all custom games altogether? The answer to "don't ban all custom games so that league becomes a boring, stagnant game" is the same as "don't shut down hide and seek". Having a variety promotes gameplay, it promotes creativity, and players bring all that to classic. Also, it's just plain fun. Shutting it down shuts out players as well.

Of course, I feel a little guilty because I convinced my friends to come join and play a little because of hide and seek. And...then you guys shut it down.

Is there any particular reasoning you guys took away the custom dominion map?

-> I've linked to the rules to the uninitiated. Tons of fun, too bad no one new to it will be able to try it until Def Not Dominion rolls around.

I actually asked this when they first removed the crystal scar.

The response I got was that apparently "Keeping it as a map would have the same resource drain as it would as a queue", which means that they'd have to test every new champ/item/etc every single patch or something when they added something to the game.

Agree or disagree, that's they're reasoning on the subject. (I don't have the OG post. It'd take me forever to find it.)

Upvoted for visibility. I only discovered hide and seek about two months before Riot removed Dominion, but those were two of the most fun-filled months I've ever had in my 3 and a half years of playing League. One weekend every few months doesn't cut it. Please have this map back as a permanent option in custom games. :(

I loved hide and seek, it was honestly one of my favorite things to play. I was really sad when they removed Dominion effectively destroying HnS :(. I know they said it takes resources to test things on the Crystal Scar, but a custom game mode option doesn't seem too much to ask for.

They should make hide-and-seek a rotating game mode. With some tweaks, it could be awesome.

No thanks I don't want them wasting dev resources on maintaining that Map. First no one plays it it's not really worth having for the 10 people that use it.

2nd every new item, patch, champ has to be tested on that map as well. That essentially makes the updates twice as slow

3rd wtf is hide and seek.

So in short no they should not waste developers maintaining another map for a few players. It's really not worth its really not worth it id rather have them work on other weekly brawls or new items or champs.

Hide and seek was the only reason to touch the damn Crystal scar. It was soooo fun, especially when we all knew eachother and the rules. Best part was having fun with people you know, without the stress of pushing a lane of ganking. Like Champs in a park for recess hahah

How about puting it onto the the rotating game mode queue and have strict rules so people can't just say "You killed me while I was dc, so it doesn't count" and other people who just sit in base and say they are in a good hiding spot T_T

Riot: ''We have no resources for it''. You don't have resources to make THE FUCKING UPDATED SNOW MAP. OMG, IT IS JUST SPRAYING SNOW ALL OVER IT FFS. JUST SPRAY SOME FUCKING SNOW. SOME PLAYERS MADE IT FOR FREE, HOW DON'T YOU HAVE RESOURCES TO SPRAY SOME SNOW EVEN THOUGH YOU GAIN MONEY EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. Same situation with the dominion custom map.
