If Cho'Gath is going to keep his ult damage the ultra high scaling on his base abilities has to go

Cho'Gath has better scaling than almost every mage in the game. That would be fine if his base damages were lower but they are also higher than almost every mage in the game.

Something that is seriously slept on is mid lane Cho'Gath, and I'm sure it will catch up in pros at some point. Cho'Gath is a better mid laner than Galio now and something is seriously wrong with that when Galio was specifically designed to be an MR mid lane tank/mage. He has so much sustain in his passive that he can withstand any poke traditional mid laners can dish out, and it's even worse with a Doran's shield.

Cho has to lose something, and if Cho'Gath mains(cough freelo abusers because he was basically aatrox like 4-5 patches ago when no one played him) want to keep his high damage ult he needs to lose scaling on his base abilities.

The high damage ult comes from a Tank Build that has no AP, so I don't understand why you're complaining about the AP scalings of his base skills... What's the link between the two?

Did you even read what I posted....

We're not even talking about full tank cho'gath, it's about people building him with 1-2 AP items early and doing disgusting amounts of damage up to the first 25-30 minutes of the game because of his insane scaling. Cho is also then able to opt in a 2-3 tank items and able to get the best of both worlds.

To get the high damage ult, you need at least Stoneplate and a gap-closer item such as Righteous Glory. You also want to stack more HP to improve the efficiency of Stoneplate active.

If Cho is building AP items, we're in a fine world where he's not abusing a stupid one-shot combo.

Also, when you talk about scalings, don't forget to take into accounts CDs. Cho Q has a 100% ratio with a 9 s CD. Annie Q has an 80% ratio, but with a 4 s CD. Syndra Q has a 65% ratio with a 4 s CD. Etc. Cho scalings are at best decent, not insane.

I ganked a cho with a doran ring as jungle ezreal and he was lvl 3 and i had full minion wave he silenced me and poped his spikes and out dueled me with red buff and minions on my side while i was kiting him.........
