late game potion that converts 20 mr into armor or inverse

would be cool especially now that masteries don't let you pick either or.
this would help a lot with trying to make certain builds work. either free or might cost like 100 gold?

Take these questions at face value. I'm curious to know what line of thought led you here:

Why do you think this is a good idea? What strategic value does this add to the game? Who actually benefits from this?

MR Items have much better efficiency and builds than Armour items right now. This would really break a lot of things if MR and Armour were interchangeable.

Runes/mastery should be able to help with this enough that this wouldn't be needed, but they fall short. this is more of a quick fix until the rune system ever gets reworked.

Often find myself just hoping enemy team is not too strong in either ap or ad especially if your build could barely squeeze in enough of the resistance in question.

say i'm shen with this: item 3146 item 3091 item 3111 item 3083 item 3065 item 3143

depending on who i'm laning against. if ap i'll use a different build. but vs ad top i'd get cdr per lvl glyphs. late game i end up with like 20 more mr than armor with this build. but if I find that i'm mostly taking ad damage. what can I do? sure I can sell warmogs, but this item is key to my build. so is tenacity and attackspeed.

why can't I get magic pen and tenacity without having to put myself at jeopardy vs ad champs. I get that I can use a different build but i'd like to make this one work since these items are what I wish to use.

this is just one example but I constantly find myself stuggling to find the right amount of mr or armor and i'm usually just shy by 20.

would also be really cool with thornmail.

i disagree about the mr having better efficientcy. plus if it cost 100 gold it cancel out.

or say I get item 3056 and ap glyphs (since at 100 ap shen's q increases) instead of randuins. now all I have is 50 armor.
