If I understand the new ranked system correctly, isn't there a danger, that people will just not care about the rank in the roles they don't play? Especially when they get autofilled?
Unker1391 votesIts a risk but I think the plan is that if you get your secondary or autofilled and win, you will get an LP bonus the next time you play your primary. That way there is an incentive to still try and the rank to your primary role wont be hurt if you try and fail.

Good, I'm tired of being locked into a role because of my unbalanced skill level.
haaaaaaalp1 votesThere are always people who don't care when they are autofilled. Autofill is a god aweful system but no one realizes how little it does for queue times so they think we need it.
That being said, I would rather those autofilled players be playing at an elo that more appropriately reflects their attitude than at the elo of their main roles.

As opposed to everything else they don't care about currently? If the system is rolled out right, it will be one of the best things RIOT has ever done because it will bring many more fairer games and a whole lot less snowballs. That to me is a very good thing.

Yeah, but look at flex queue. Even there are many people with attitude "it's not ranked, it's just a flex queue". I'm afraid this will be a problem in the new ranked system, when someone gets the role in which they don't care about their rank.

Maybe not getting rolled by a higher rank in the same role in the same game will make the experience better and they might start actually caring. I am sure that some of that not caring comes from not being able to play a certain role because their counterpart plays that role as their main.
