Compared to Varus Bard is a pretty new champion and probably has a way better programming script for his q to only stun against you and a wall or an enemy unit.

Bug report

Nothing is supposed to take damage from a passing-projectile twice. But I suppose this is a special case, since Ezreal was able to leave the projectile hitbox then enter it again; most other champions cannot do that.

Thats probably a bug, if you flash behind an ezreal ult to get hit twice you dont take the damage twice. Its probably unintentional from riot to work like that.

Ezreal e is unique in that it has a cast time but acts like a blink. So he got hit during his e cast time and then hit after the blink. Flash has no cast time which means it is impossible to be hit twice. If the ezreal had used flash instead he would have only been hit once at the end of varus's q.
