Climbing out of Silver Discussion Thread

No salt, elo hell, luck, my team's fault excuses. Tips from players who have personally climbed out solo and know what works and what doesn't. So far, for me, I've had the most success playing Kaisa and split pushing. This elo seems very weak in that department and climbed from S5-S2 doing that every game. Just recently dropped back to S3, but I'm sure I'll climb back up again. Players seems to like to perma group even if their team comp is bad for all in 5 v 5 leaving side lanes really vulnerable, so I try to take advantage of it the best I can. My only problem is when my team all initiates a fight, or starts a fight after 1 person gets caught while I'm splitting and they all blame me for not grouping when I clearly can't group without getting blown up, cc locked, or we will lose towers on the sides being pushed in too hard. I need to know what I can do to carry even when my team is non-stop salt raging at every death in the game. Maybe a different champion? I've tried Brand for awhile since he seems to out damage literally everyone in game by pressing R enough times. I really just want to be good enough to get gold this season. I'm heartbroken I wasn't good enough to hit Gold for Victorious Morgana as it is most definitely my favorite skin for her. I even mained her back then. [sg-soraka]

So what happens when Kaisa gets nerfed since she is clearly too strong right now ?

As split pusher you want to get out of silver without knowing how to play macro games (aka objectives, rotating, team fight shot calls etc etc.) The higher you climb the harder will be to play for your as split pusher since you do not have fundamentals for macro play.

Split pushing should be treated as tactic based on situations, not as strategy.

Tldr: Play Singed if you want to control side lanes extremely efficiently while still being a huge threat in fights. Learn to proxy if you take up singed.

If you want to win by split pushing, don't do it as an ADC. When you are the team's primary damage source, you need to dominate enemy champions and then push down the objectives. It is especially bad if your top laner is ONLY good at split pushing.

If you want to manage the side waves but still be capable of dominating team fights, I recommend playing a Top lane champion with great mobility and wave clear (Turret destroying power is a huuuuuge bonus as well).

If you are like me and have garbage mechanics, DO NOT FEAR! There is a champion who can completely take control of a game and is capable of carrying at least two other teammates in fights.... The only mechanic you need is right-clicking... Who is he you ask? Well........................................

Singed Singed Singed

If you don't feel like playing a non-traditional lane, then your next best bets will be: Yorick Nasus Although, if your team is behind in every other lane you can have a bad time because Nasus takes some time to scale and Yorick is a terrible teamfighter outside of a lane (or if his ult is down).

If you learn Singed though, Silver becomes easy mode. Team fighter, ganker, roamer, hyper wave clear, easy to get first blood turret, and it capable of drawing 2 or more enemies on your side of the map regularly so you make the game easier for your teammates.

ANNNNND all of that said, if you want to stick with ADC but be able to carry multiple teammates... You need a hyper carry. Like Jinx or Twitch. If you have GREAT mechanics and ALWAYS win lane, you can never go wrong with Cait. Cait will just struggle to carry if every other lane loses their turrets in 12 minutes. However, if your allies hold their lanes long enough for you to get the first turret, Cait is one of the best siege champs. She can easily go top lane or mid and continue to mow down turrets thanks to her traps, long range, and escape.
