Irelia Rework opinions. AD or AP? My personal AP guide included.

So... . I've played her rework quite a bit and found for me personally that AP is better than AD. I've tried the standard build and only time I ever did well was when my lane opponent fed me like crazy. I find it ok, but in some scenarios I wish I was AP for the scaling damage reduction on her W. I find the common AD build far too weak early on, but shines once she has a few items. AP however, I feel is much stronger earlier and also scales better since 3 abilities (W,E,R) scale with AP while only 2 (Q,W) scale with AD. Only the damage portion of W scales with AD, so I find that a little awkward playing.

My most successful build for AP has been somewhat like a build. So far that has been the best build for me personally after that I'll go into other things like depending on the game. You could probably get away with , but I really like CDR on her more. Starting item is of course.

As for my runes going AP, either Electrocute if you want to try and snowball, or Comet as a safer choice. For Domination I like to use Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, and Ravenous Hunter. For Sorcery I like to use Ultimate hat on her since the cooldown is fairly long at early ranks, Trancendence for more cooldown reduction, and gathering storm for more scaling. Second page is player preference. For me personally I've been taking Inspiration since the minion gold change abusing and using Approach Velocity to help run up to enemies you catch with her E stun.

Skill order? It's still R>E>Q>W Why? But the damage reduction on W? By the time you have enough AP for 100% reduction it's already late game-ish anyway, so I've been maxing it last.

I hope this little rant how AP has been better for me and this guide can help more players test this out. It's been funny having my teammates question my build until they hear "Killing Spree," "Unstoppable," etc. I'm guessing not many people actually read champion abilities and scalings or look at YouTubers showing stuff like this off.
