Losing LP for winning?

Just did a ranked game and lost 20LP for a winning game I helped win. My net hiccuped and I was briefly disconnected maybe 3-5mins. It wasn't doing anything in game except waiting with an "Attempting to reconnect" and I probably died to Krugs, so I tried the usual relog. I was trying over and over to log back in as fast as possible. As soon as I got back in I immediately started helping my team win again. It just really sucks the system can't detect when your network just shuts off completely. Sometimes people have net issues, why is it so punishing to have even the smallest net hiccup? It makes no sense. Technology isn't perfect. Why should we have to be?

Funny that Riot punishes people for network hiccups... when they can't even keep their own game in working order for 7 days running.

It isn't hard to unplug the router and make it appear your network totally shut off.. People would exploit it if there were less of a penalty for the net dying rather than just rage quitting.

I had it last season where i was in promos to get into gold.. my series was sitting at 2-2.. and while in champ selection the other team was picking a champ and the timer went to 0.. i figured someone was dodging.. but no it say there.. at 0... i got a hold of their support people cause i didnt want to close out the client cause it warned me it would count as a dodge. NOTHING they could do.. so they say.. so i was dinged as a dodger.. lost the series.. and then went on a sick losing streak.. went from silver 1 all the way to silver 4.. the worst free fall ever.. it wasnt my internet that went.. it was their client cause i was still able to chat with my duo as well.. stupid RITO...

You could try reaching out to your team members and asking all 4 of them to submit support tickets on your behalf. There is precedent in the past for Riot lifting punishments from the IFS when the team all shows that they support the person who was punished. This is a little different but it might work out for you.
