One tank is fine, as long as the rest of the teamcomp works. One tank, with at least one other means of engaging (Morg/Lux/Bard roots, Kalista Ult, etc.)

I'd say it's best to save at least two tanks on your team, maybe three depending on your team comp vs. theirs. I honestly hate when I, the gold starved support, am left to pick a tank and still get one-shotted because I am, well, gold starved! [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Although I'm pretty sure you're trolling, I'd like to point out that tanks are unnecessary to win a match; Jayce/Lux/Elise/Varus/Janna is a perfectly viable teamcomp.

PSA: Just because I happened to be autofilled into top or support doesn't mean I'm actually any good at playing tanks, so please don't ask me to play one when I'm last pick.

1 Tank and 1 bruiser is the perfect amount of tankiness you need on a team. But running just 1 tank is usually fine in Solo queue.

Or when people see a Darius pick and think they have a tank so pick other classes and realize they have no engage 30min in

Because whoever has more tanks wins guaranteed. And everyone knows it yet Riot does nothing.

Depends on what your team needs. I mean if you are the jungler and your ADC is Ashe and your midlaner is Lissandra, you might want more damage instead of tank. If you are support, you probably won't be a real tank even if you pick one.
