Done With the Cancer

Someone contact me when AD champions and assassins aren't the cancerous spawns that they are now. I'm through with this game until riot actually puts some balancing into place that most likely requires removing crit, lifesteal, and half the AD scaling abilities.

Common AD scaling abilities were the worst thing that was ever added to this game. It completely bypasses the two stat system, which had been working very well. The you have riot nerfing spell vamp because it's insane on some champions. Well shit nerf crit strike and lifesteal into the ground too because Yasuo Fiora Zed and literally every marksman are fucking rolling in the stuff.

I don't see how Mordekaiser + item 3152 is going to be called to strong, then they add in Yasuo with crits and item 3072 can heal for 150 every auto attack or Q.

They nerf mana regen because some builds make it a non-factor, well at least they have to do something to be able to spam their moves infinitely, something that Zed Yasuo RekSai Riven Renekton LeeSin Katarina could all use.

"I'm going to quit playing League until they remove everything that defines over half of their champions."

Either bullshit, or goodbye forever. Either way, idgaf if you can't take how AD and assassins function.

spell vamp wasn't nerfed bc of morde

They nerf mana regen bc mana is important to those relevant champion balance. Champions without mana are balanced differently.

The game is fine, but you ofc don't have to play if you don't want to.

Envy Sin2 votes

No it was nerfed because mord and vlad were to strong with it. Look up the posts.

Actually, Spell Vamp was nerfed because any mage in general could stack up close to 50% Spell Vamp and pull off ridiculous comebacks in duels. When your burst rotation deals some 1000-2000 damage without AP, you're healing for a solid quarter or half of your health while chunking theirs way faster than Lifesteal could dream.

Nunu, Ryze, Mordekaiser, Akali, Vladimir and Morgana were the most notorious abusers, because they also use Spell Vamp better than average. But, really, every kind of mage could stack triple Revolvers and survive otherwise-impossible scenarios.

Wouldn't unique passives completely solve that issue then? Also you've never seen someone stack lifesteal lol

Trundle with item 3072 item 3153 item 3074 item 3065 can go from 1 to full in less than a second and continuously heal for an easy 200-300 health per second, before the ult and passive.

though i will agree that item 3152 x4 on Cassiopeia with E spam was insanely hilarious and over powered.

Didn't they implement that?

I lived in the day of triple-Bloodthirster Pantheon, you don't even know.

Trundle with item 3072 item 3153 item 3074 item 3065 can go from 1 to full in less than a second and continuously heal for an easy 200-300 health per second, before the ult and passive.

42% Lifesteal bumped to 50.4% (if we assume multiplicative, 60.48% on Frozen Domain), gains half that effect from Ravenous Hydra's LS AoE (yes, RH splash heals for half effect of Lifesteal, based on 20-60% of your AD).

Without factoring for potential runes/masteries, 111 + 75 + 80 + 25 = 291 AD. Adding his Q steroid, 331 AD. Each basic attack heals for up to 167 (200 on FD) on the main target after Armor reduction, AoE deals 66-199 to enemies in the radius, meaning each additional target boosts the heal up to 17-51 (20-60 on FD) HP. This build has Trundle at 1.804 AS, meaning he can't get more than 2 attacks off in the same second; over 10 seconds, you'll land 18 attacks.

Max HP of 2648 means that you will heal very rapidly if in the middle of a minion wave; 200+20-60 HP per target twice per second could easily be about 1000 HP. But, for all that's worth, it's basically out-of-combat sustain, because you aren't going to have a cluster of targets anything like that in team fights (let alone factoring in Armor, AS slows, CC, etc.), and Trundle has absolutely no Armor and pitiful MR in that build.

Yes, I'm perfectly aware that his ultimate steals Armor MR from someone. For 6 seconds. Only really ideal if you can snag a tank's defenses, because you're otherwise about as squishy as the average Master Yi, Tryndamere, etc. built with a ton of Lifesteal.

Never mind that Ignite is one of the most popular Summoner Spells.

That still really has nothing on nearly killing Veigar, only to get stun-walled and watch his W-R-Q heal him literally instantly back to 80% or better without any way to stop him from killing you.

though i will agree that item 3152 x4 on Cassiopeia with E spam was insanely hilarious and over powered.

The problem with Spellvamp vs Lifesteal is how much burst based AP's tend to be.

For a really dumb but somewhat obvious example of what I mean, have you ever seen a really fed Vladimir with spell vamp as it is now during a team fight? He can literally charge into the enemy team and take multiple hits, AOE Nuke as many champions as possible and heal up, go into his Pool/Zhonyas to recharge his cool downs, AOE nuke everyone again and heal up, use the other of his Pool/Zhonya, AOE nuke everybody a third time and heal a third time, and depending on how fast he activates his abilities, Hemoplague explodes and grants him even more health from the spell vamp. Spellvamp is really, really hard to justify when a gameplay pattern like this exists. It's one thing to have a squishy damage dealer who can heal off slowly but consistently, it's another when an AOE mage is suddenly regenerating 50% of their HP at ability activation in a fight. In this pattern, Vlad could have healed enough health to have filled his health bar more than once, maybe even twice over. Imagine if Spell Vamp was so much stronger than before, Vlad no longer has to be fed to achieve the same level of healing and bullshit as I just pointed out he can do with today's lackluster Spell Vamp.

Lifesteal doesn't have nearly the same problems. Even in the latest stages of a game, most Crits in an actually well balanced build will reach at most 1000 damage. If you're using Bloodthirster, an item that forsakes raw damage like BotRK can offer, you are looking at, at most, 200 health, most of the time at around only 10% of your health at most if you're truly a glass cannon, and only during the attacks that you critically strike in the first place. Lifesteal is far less consistent and bursty than Spellvamp has access to, and so doesn't fall back to the same gameplay patterns that Vlad for example is capable of abusing.

Critical Strike though is a fucking mess, I'll agree with you there. Needs to be reworked. Hard.

And to be frank, a lot of the champions you mentioned already have measures built in place.

  • Zed has weak as hell wave clear unless he blows all three of his non-Ultimate abilities, and thus all his energy, making him incredibly prone every time he does that. He's also incredibly Ult reliant in order to actually assassinate somebody unless he's fed out of his eyeballs, to which I argue is not a valid point to make since virtually every champion other than Shen is crazy op when they are fed that hard and snowballing.

  • Yasuo is one of literally two champions with a strict activation requirement. Four if you want to be technical about it, but you should still get the point. He's also, surprisingly or not, the weakest of the melee ADCs in terms of straight up raw dps. Not to mention there's a (hilariously simple) trick to dodging his E->Q combo, which can all but negate his initiation power if you do it correctly.

  • Rek'Sai is gated by time. Like, a lot of time. Her Q's power is displaced over 3 auto attacks and her bite, if you want it at full power, requires max rage, which due to how her submarine mode works, means you can oftentimes start fights with 0 rage. Unless she's either incredibly fed (which once again is not a good argument to make) or she's incredibly tanky (at which point you probably shouldn't care much about her damage from spamming abilities), you should not have legitimate problems with her.

  • I don't like Riven so I'll just give this to you.

  • His stats were literally displaced so that he isn't nearly as bad as a lane bully in trade for not falling off as hard (although arguably he still falls off pretty bad), stop complaining, he's already been worked on in this regard.

  • I don't like Lee Sin either so yeah.

  • Katarina is one of the weakest pre-6 assassins in game and the easiest to counter assassin post 6. Whatever strength she has from being resources less is literally a non-issue if your head isn't up your ass every time she does so much as anything.

If vlad used mana they could adjust costs but since hes part of the problem mentioned in this post but not specified as one of the ad scaling champs your point on him is a very bad argument.

Zed complaining about his fast refreshing energy (that you can get runes for) change that to mana then and buy freaking pots there are Mana pool using champions that do not wave clear well also so id say your counter argument here is poor also.

Yasuo I dnt get this same point yea he has some drawbacks but if played correctly he can once having near final build never have to go back to town Unless he is killed therefore exerting immense everlasting pressure.

I understand the point of this original post and I don't think you do sir The two pool mechanic was put there for reason, part of that reason being able to tune long term staying power as its own attribute.Making champs that circumvent this mechanic has caused almost all the returning merry go round problems.

Some competitive activities are truly refined like Chess and other things that the same rules apply to everyone no matter what.

Do not get me wrong I like this game very much and Do like the champ ideas of zed and love to play Yasuo and such but do not Bullshit and say that zed.Riven, and ,Yasuo are not very powerful and nowhere near average in comparison to champs that have to manage mana pools.

Metaphorically speaking they are guns with endless ammunition yes they need upgrades but they never need more ammo is the base of this persons complaint and I feel does cause many balance and item problems in this game that simply do not need to be there.

Statistically I think the champs that spend the most time in a good place where people are happy with them and they are not over powered or Irrelevant almost all have two resources seems the original or Early champ design team knew this better than the current design developers do.

On the positive side Seems you favor mana using spell vamp champs the spell vamp was counter or precursor to life steal chiken or egg first does not interest me.You should not look at it the way you are if you want to leave simply cause the roller coaster is not where you like it get on a different one. In other words start playing these champs that are pushing your putter in.

Life comes at the flood take it or become exhausted fighting the current.
