I was placed in plat 3 after my placements (8-2) from d5 (witch was fine) than after my promos for plat 2 the ranked reset happened and after 1 loss i am in plat 5????? What the Heck?

... Well going to wait for Solo Q it seems!

Because of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reseted to the original starting point(pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now **WILL BE RESETED AGAIN! ** The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.

I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!

So dont worry to much about the current placement!

last season i went 7/3 and was dropped to silver 1 from plat 4 while moobeat won 6/4 and was placed in plat 5 from plat 4 or 3 only because he did his placements well after the reset.

my point being every season rank reset has been shit sometimes worse than others. The highest you can be placed in is plat 1. You obviously can wait for a few months and be placed higher because everyone by then as gotten to their correct mmr or close to it. Right now your people's mmr is gonna be in low-mid plat and gold if you were diamond with a few possibly being in silver with losing placements hard.

That's not standard at all. Trick2G went from Challenger to Bronze 2 after winning every single game. All my diamond friends have started low silver/high bronze in Flex. The highest person that I've seen seeded was a Master tier friend of mine got Silver 3. He hasn't played his one more promotional match yet though.
