All 3 of the intentional AFKers in my ranked games last night are still playing

Played 5 ranked games last night. Three out of those 5 I had intentional AFKers on my team. First had a Casseo go 0/4 in 9 minutes and rage quit. Next had a 1/7 Udyr who raged and afked half the time and when he wasn't he would run around the enemy jungle taking camps or proxying enemy waves until he died. Then had a Jhin intentionally afk in fountain firing his ult off the map whenever it came up.

Good to see all 3 of them have played since those games. Always great to see these players get away with this kind of behavior with absolutely zero punishment. Good job.

People don't get insta punished for leaves and afk, that's handles by leaver buster. If they do it too often in too short a period of time they will get punished. There's leeway in there to account for the occasional emergency/power outage/isp issue/etc.

Leave buster only works if they actually disconnect. If they stand in fountain AFK and move every now and then to avoid getting kicked for inactivity it doesn't do shit

I thought a rioter once commented it also takes into account damage dealt, so if you don't deal any damage for a long time it detects you as afk.

that aside the system doesn't ban people who go afk if they only do it say once a month so maybe they only went afk once and then never again for a month or something like that

No it's actually more sophisticated then that. Just trust that a team of professionals putting even an hour of thought into a problem like that can figure a way around the instant internet retort of some guy online who doesn't know how the system works.

Ivern used to get flagged as AFK due to how he clears jungle camps not counting as combat or dealing dmg.

Thats absolutely untrue, I'd know because I've done it a lot. You absolutely have to go attack camps. It used to be where you could just sit on the outside of your jung and toss an ability over the wall and hit the wolf camp, but now you actually have to take the camp otherwise you will be slapped with leaverbuster.

Bro, I had someone who declared he was going to int because his champ was banned by a teammate (Galio like 2 days after the rework) and he did just that. Went 0/27/0. Was first blooded around the 1 minute mark.

He got reported, but nothing ever happened. Rito's instant feedback system is garbage at determining anything other than toxic chat.

I know they want to err on the side of caution, but it was so obvious a monkey could figure that one out. Regardless of what Riot tells us, the system doesn't "learn" anything. It follows the program it was given and bans people depending on the triggers it hits.

I feel your pain.. it's sad how riot refuses to even acknowledge they have a problem.. hell, they've said that they can "lock" accounts if it's found they are playing things like Singed support etc, but they refuse to lock accounts if a player has a legit intentional feeding report.

going 0/27 with first blood before minions even spawned is CLEAR signs they are going to feed..

honestly sad how lazy ghostcrawler and the other rioters are.. but then again, that's why blizzard fired ghostcrawler cause he refused to do work for the company... least from what I've heard.

According to the newest Riot post on the matter, you cannot be punished for asking for reports unless you're being a dick about it.

You definitely won't be punished for just being silent and reporting though, so why not just do that?

Ask those poor players who have to deal with these guys everyday.Furthermore,i think you missed the point of the topic.Those trolls although they got reported they are still playing after they assisted the enemy.

If it was for flame or whatever they would get punished immediately.But nah,just bad players sitting in base.

I am responding to you instead of the topic at hand because I wanted to talk to you.

If you just report them and don't speak, then you cannot be punished. If you train yourself to flame these players whenever you see this happen, then yes, you're going to get punished. If you train yourself to be silent and just report, then it will become natural to do so silently since you will be so used to not flaming these people, and not only will you never be punished, but your reports will help the LeaverBuster system punish these wrongdoers.

I agree, there is a problem if the player is getting leavers in half of his or her recent games, but the player cannot take out his or her rage on these people in-game, because that is further promoting a toxic environment. Staying silent and reporting is the way to go.

Go check my profile.my last games with JAX.In one of them i players with Zac,Kog,Thresh and Zed.All 4 of them weree flaming each other,bot was base 24/7 grefing and inting and were calling me useless.i finished the game with -S 11/4 but these guys never grouped to try and win.Yet,the system placed me with them because it calculated it i'm on their level.Ohhh wait,personal performance has no meaning!!!!

In 10 days anyway i'm going to work for the summer season and will rest from all these BS.I hope they change that "secret formula" or apply a system that punishes intentional feeders faster.

You can go AFK a lot before you get any punishment. Only thing you'll get is a 15-20 mins q. But, god forbid you say something toxic to the person that went AFK and is losing you the game, woooooooooooooooooooooooo, riot can't have that m8.

Well,that is true.You are allowed to ruin ONLY a certain number(limit changes for each player) by going afk intentionally and assisting the enemy but nah,bad manners are bad manners.

welcome to why this game is slowly going down hill.. riot has let their "instant feedback" system upon us, and even tho it's NOT working even 75% of the time for stuff like hate speech before and after games and intentional feeding.. but even on twitter some of the rioters have stated that they feel that manually reviewing games is a hassle.. I'm sorry, their system can detect if someone has not moved from the fountain (shown in the gif above) and yet, they refuse to make their instant feedback system check for this sort of things..

I'm on game 5 of a 4 game losing streak because of the op's issue as well.. it's very sad that riot is almost ignoring this issue, claim they are hard on hate speech, and yet, players who constantly are toxic, say things like N**er etc, and intentionally feed in ranked games are still playing..

I mean, I try my best given the situation in every ranked (normals I goof off from time to time) but it's hard to make a comback when an 11/1 cait can two shot your tank because your mid laner came down to bot and gave up 8 kills to her...

I had a game with this kid who played ezreal and at lv 14 he afked, idk the reason but we lost so I report and I also blocked him because I didn't want to play with him ever again.

the next day I play a game as blitz mid and the enemy jungler was that kid that I blocked...like wtf I mean sorry for his team cause he fed and raged but I blocked him.....no only that but others I have blocked have been on my team and I cant communicate with them at all

top was wondering why I was ignoring jungler one game and im like etf jungler said nothing all game and apparently jungler was asking things about his buuld and mine and im like oh sorry i guess i must have blocked him and i did 3 week prior to that game cause he was hassassing me post game

Note about 'Block'.

Blocking someone doesnt affect the machtmaking in any way to prevent high-elo abuse. It's just a tool the chat system offers.

True lol I forgot but still out of thousands in that elo and I managed to go against him and he was on my friends list before I blocked him. I knew his play style I knew exactly where and how we played their team was at such a disadvantage

Sadly, blocking a player won't prevent you from playing in their team later. It only prevents you form reading what they write.

You're never instantly banned for AFKing. They have to be reported a couple of times before they're punished. It's that way so people don't get banned because their computer crashed like once this year. Give it a couple of days.

Also because it takes roughly from 5 to 6 times the necessary rankeds to get placed in your righteous elo. So more retards=more game=more stable playerbase.

Also they are desperatedly trying to shun away old players since they (the intelligent ones at least) don't buy their bullshit anymore, so they want fresh new players to milk their mom's wallets.

Hey, I resemble that remark. I have the best games during that time because all the little boys and girls are still in school and so you only get College kids and no-life tryhard fedora wearing neckbeards. Both of which have a low likelihood of raging and crying in chat. I get to enjoy some games without headaches like Windspeakers Urgot top.
