MF Support would have been banned just like singed

For those of you who don't know, a player is temporarily banned for playing support singed because "his teammates don't want him to". He is under the threat of a perm ban if he does not stop. He has over 1 million mastery points with singed and a >50% win ratio.

I'd like to point out that if he had been playing MF support this whole time (prior to worlds), he would have been hit with the same exact ban guaranteed. Then as soon as someone pulled it out at worlds, suddenly it would have been accepted.

NO ONE has the right to tell ANYONE what to play. Ever. Period. I've made my entire climb from bronze to plat playing off meta champions (viktor before rework, then vel'koz mid before he was popular).

Once you do, well this -> banned for playing singed support.

Disgusting.

The problem with smite singed support was the refusal to communicate and cooperate with the team. There are multiple accounts where players have reported the singed support for refusal to support there marksman and group with the team during important team fights effectively creating a 4v5. Players have also noted that he steals teammates jungle camps when he is unable to counter jungle properly resulting in the allied jungle deprived of experience and gold. If the player also did the same with miss fortune or any other champion he would have been reported and then banned.

The player in question also does not have over 1 million mastery points and over 50% win rate with support singed however he has those achievement on singed in general.

Playing off meta champions and innovating is encouraged however not communicating and cooperating with the team is a reportable offense.

I'm sorry but maybe in his mind not grouping was the best strategy to win. What if he honestly 100% truly believes that. Who are we to tell him how to play? And if we can tell him how to play, then where does it end?

The point of my post is that it is a very slippery slope we are on dictating things beyond offensive language. Where is that line? Is it always reportable not to group? For what champions? Who decides those champions? Does it change depending on the situation? Are we allowed to think and play differently than these opinions?

I just dont think its right to ever ban someone for not playing the way everyone else does.

Playing support Singed was not the reason for the ban. Opting to not play support while being 'support' Singed the reason.

Nobody has to play tank on top, nobody has to play mage on mid, nobody has to play ADC on bot, nobody has to gank on jungle. Leave the 'supports' do what they want, and if you don't like it, deal with it.

If he trought he was supporting the team by roaming, then he can pick support, the guy who picked bot has to play under turret like in every 1v2 scenario.

You actually have no evidence for this. As a matter of fact he does support his bot laner and protects them. You should inform yourself before spreading misinformation.
