Who gets the kill and who gets the assists?

Am i the only one who thinks that they shouldn't be awarded the gold for the kill? At least give them the gold as if it were for an assist. A tower could do 99% damage to you and the enemy does 1% but they get the kill. The tower could do 100% but if the enemy slows you or whatever, they get the kill. TBH, I think that gold awarded for kills should be based on how much damage the person dealt to them and who gets the kill. Whoever deals the most damage gets the most gold and the kill added to their score. Everyone else gets an amount based on how much damage they do. This is so that if you're an adc and you do most of the damage but the support accidentally takes the kill you still get most of the gold and the kill. Or if a jungler comes to gank and you're about to kill the enemy but the jungler takes the kill just as soon as they get there. Here's an example. Say I do 75% of the damage to an enemy. And i have gotten a gank from my jungler who does 25% of the damage but they get the finishing blow. I should get 75% of X amount of gold and then the jungler should get 25% of X amount of gold. Also i would be awarded the kill to my score and the jungler would be awarded the assist to their score. Let me know what you think but this is just what i think about it.
