One of the biggest mistakes that destroyed this game’s originality

I’m not saying that reworks were unnecessary or that they were bad.

However there is something that destroyed this game’s originality and here are the biggest changes that have completely destroyed the work and the originality or the previous people working for riot games :

Those abilities should never have been deleted because they were various, original and creative. They made an original gameplay approach and an experience of the game totally different, alternatives from what is actually common :

  • old Galio ultimate
  • old swain ultimate
  • kog’maw ap ratio on the ultimate
  • Malphite old w with Tiamat passive and ad ratios
  • old Yorick ultimate
  • old poppy ultimate

I mean they should reinsert those old abilities it would make the game much more breathfull allowing us to play with alternatives.

If you look for successful reworks most of them have kept the signature move of the champion : the ult.

Just because something is "original" doesn't mean it is enjoyable or healthy for the game.

old Galio ultimate > Would not work in todays Meta. He would die every time. old swain ultimate > .... He still has that ult just not on a 12s CD kog’maw ap ratio on the ultimate > ya no thats a good thing its not like that anymore. Malphite old w with Tiamat passive and ad ratios > ya I liked that too old Yorick ultimate > dont even remember what it was its soo long ago old poppy ultimate > Ya dont miss not being able to kill her while she killed me.

Old Yorick ult was that he created a ghost version of himself, and if he died in the time the ghost was alive he came back "to life" for like 30s in the form of that ghost.

I think old poppy as an excellent champion, I would just get rid of that ult, it was really toxic. I would replace the ult and keep the champ.

You forgot old Urgots ult, but they at least said that they would like to bring this ability back on a different champion (most likely a tank).

But personally, I am glad that Swains ult is gone. Fighting this as a melee was absolutely horrible. Same goes for Poppy, her old ult was just unbalancable.

Poppy was a good rework, given her sucky early game and overblown late. Yorick could not really be balanced before rework because of the toxicity of his kit. Galio and Swain were rather janky prior (and besides, they did keep their ultimate somewhat, Galio's as a weakened ability and Swain's with a burst boost.)
