Why does Draven unexpectedly become strong when he gets one bf sword?

Like once he activates his Q it's like you have no armor if you already haven't bought armor

is the only item you can buy to survive getting 3 shotted

Assuming that his q is either rank 4 or 5 the time he gets bf sword thats 80-100 extra ad per attack almost doubling it.

If I'm not mistaken, his ratios are bonus ad. So it's a lot of extra damage on his autos and all his abilities

His q has a really high ad scaling. (+ 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105% bonus AD based on the lvl) so thats on top of just increasing auto dmg by ad. It also has some base dmg too.

Assuming he's level 5 and has three points in his Q (since shit tends to go down at 6 and that still kinda early), his autos with Q activated will deal:

71+ 40 + 8 + 45 + (.85 * 48) +C = ~209 physical damage.

The caveat is that he doesn't have farther ranged spells that he can spam (his E has a decent cooldown early) and he has to constantly reposition for axes, but he's going to trade like a motherfucker if you think you can auto him without retaliation.

But yeah, approximately 1/4th (highballing here) of your health with a single auto? He deals a shit ton of damage if you're not careful.
