I won 8 games in a row to get into my promo game, and then in order to advance I need to win 2 more.

First game I swapped mid with Annie cause I figured it would be easier to win if my teammate was on a better role, then our troll Jax who was assigned support instalocks top lane saying "I don't care, I'm top". So I have to support with 0 experience playing support at all. Both Jax and Annie didn't do anything useful btw.

Second game I just get a team I wasn't able to carry.

Report that Jax, role stealing IS bannable. But I agree I don't know why Riot feels the need to make promos so hard, especially when I know in Plat you don't get a free win no matter how many promos you get into.

Because riots ranked system is garbage. They need to either be only MMR or only devisions instead of the garbage psudo middle ground they have now.

What exactly do you dislike about the system? If you maintain consistent performance, you'll advance. In low elo you even have a helping hand - the next you get to promos, you'll get one win beforehand.

Promos always have special people for some reason, you can get winstreaks, then when on promos BOOM clown fiesta.

Bro, you barely got one I had. I spent 3 months getting to Gold 5, go to my promos and got trolled not 1 time, but 3 TIMES in my promos. And here’s where it gets worse, I was trolled my first game by a Xin... then the next game I went into I GOT THE SAME TROLL XIN. He literally destroyed my chances of Gold and now I’m stuck at Silver 5 for how crippled it made my MMR losing those 3 games. The system is completely bullshit.

Promos are actually what's wrong with the ranked system tbh. I had the exact same thing happen to me - 10 game winstreak from G1 to P4 promos, only to get unlucky games with a bunch of autofills which ends in a loss. Even though I've had P3+ MMR for a while.

Same, it's commonly known. Was D1 with 85% winrate and in Master promos had 3 ppl with int lists, i go on my smurf and i'm 30-2 and promo to Dia, skipping divisions only to get 'hey can i top on your lane if not idfc' and locks it in, proceeds to lose the game.

i can go unranked to D1 with max losses of probably 5, but i'd probably lose more in promos. i only fear those, cause i know it's a 100% coinflip
