Why is Soraka high pick/ban?

She's not o_O

I play her..I don't think she is OP considering she doesn't give mana and healing takes away from her own health. I don't get why people ban her.

Because her laning is annoying.

It's her AOE silence

If she can successfully land her q's, she can basically shrug off any and all harass on her or her adc.

If she can't, she's trash tier.

In soloQ, I can't count on my lane partner to be able to dodge her q's, so I don't want to deal with that.

as of patch 4.20 she was pretty powerful, i don't know that she was OP but her infinite sustain + silence is pretty annoying to play against. you can't harass effectively against a good healing focused soraka.
