...that a RANGED champion exists in LoL that has:

-the best base and scaling damage on one abiility -the best heal in the game -the best mobility in the game, a 5 second cooldown dash that costs NO mana -a Garen ult on a basic ability -can lay mini-wards at level 1 -can have access to six abilities at level 3 -can jungle, can solo lane, and can support, and can also build either AD or AP

all that for being one of the 8 champions without any CC.

Would you pick that champion? I bet you would.

Because such a champion exists in LoL.

That champion's name is Nidalee.

Doesn't her teamfight suck butt though? and she has no cc. So she dies to Zed/Kat/Riven.

Also isn't Zilean ult the best heal in the game? It's got like a 2.0 ap ratio and the base goes up from 600-1100hp healed.

Also doesn't Voli have the highest base damage effect in an ability? Up to 520 damage on Frenzy active. It's also targeted. And scales off of health so you get damage as you get tanky.

Kalista has a (potentially) .2 second dash per second (1second/2.5 autoattackspeed). It costs 0 mana. Also nid hops 375 range. Considering how we were making fun of Kassadin having a 450 range blink, it must be absolutely pathetic for Nid to have only 375 range.

Like most assassin~~ supports~~ in general, she falls of stupidly fast (like about 10-15 minutes in) assuming she doesn't get a single kill.

I understand criticizing a circlejerk, but there's no reason to be an absolute ass over it. Some people don't circlejerk, they might just have an opinion.

I wouldn't consider "switch stance" and "switch stance back" as separate, or even individual abilities. That'd be like saying moving is an ability.

And her heal has actually been dropped down quite a bit. Still unnecessary, but no longer "Wait why does cancer panther heal better than Sona and Soraka?"

I hate Nidalee as much as you, but hyperbole doesn't help anyone, especially not you.

Jayce has 6 abilities level 3. The big thing about Nid is that she's swinging around 4 abilities at level 1. That's more than even the most generous calculations on champs like Karma, who has a basic ability, an ult, and a basic ability modified by ult (which...is pretty damn long stretch if you ask me.) Her problems are her safety, her lack of appropriate counterplay other than "just dodge the spears", and her obscene assassination potential. These are perfectly valid complaints. Use those. "Nidalee is an incredibly safe assassin" should be enough to convince anyone that she's a problem.

Techincally, soraka's ult is a better heal, and so is ali's heal. Kayle's heal is comparable too.

Ali's barely counts as a heal. Its only good if you max it first, and then only for the first 12 minutes. Kayle generally can't stack AP like Nid can so it also falls off in comparison.

We disregarding AP Kayle? Because OP mentioned that Nidalee can go AP and you'd better believe Kayle can, too. Kayle's heal is also better than Nidalee's until they get to around 700+ AP in terms of raw numbers (as far as utility goes, Kayle's movement speed increase scales while Nidalee's AS doesn't, but it's situational as to which is better at certain times).

Ali's heal isn't like other heals. Soraka or Nidalee or Taric use burst healing, restoring huge chunks in a single button press, but only every once in a while. Alistair spams heal on cooldown, effectively being a minor regen aura rather than a full blown heal. Over the course of a minute, Alistar will out-heal all except maybe Soraka, but in a span of only ~10 seconds, his is weaker.

Basically, Ali's heal is definitely a heal, just a heal over time in comparison to a burst heal.

She isn't OP. She's just extremely frustrating to play against. Her combination of mobility, high sustain, and her absurd damage being front-loaded into her Q makes her generally frustrating to play against. Riot's nerf isn't going to really address any real problem. Most Nidalee players aren't going to land a spear and dive into the enemy team for the assassinate in a team fight anyways. They reworked her so that she wouldn't only be a spear chucking siege champ late game. Unfortunately, she still is. She now just has more potential to delete things off of a snowball from the huge power she got to her early game kill potential. She's too safe for what she does. Take some of the damage out of the Q and put it into her cougar form, so that she still has assassination potential without having access to those nukes she calls a Javelin Toss.

i mean you can explain many champs to make them look OP. but i dont think its a secret that shes broken to the core. every pro streamer, LCS guy and many of riot employees admits it. but its also good that she exist in the jungle. it creates variety.
