So stop with things such as "you are a low elo" and other ad hominem fallacies.

For example, let's say that a Bronze V says "Master Yi is OP and must be nerfed". Is his opinion wrong? Yes. Is that because he is a Bronze V? No.

How you would reply to that claim? Would you say "Master Yi is not OP because he is vulnerable to CC and is squishy"? Or would you say "Master Yi is not OP, shut up, you are just a low elo, stop talking about balance"?

Let's also say that this same Bronze V says "Ekko needs to have a mana cost on his ultimate". Is his opinion wrong? No. Would you really disregard that because he is a Bronze V player?

Honestly people that do that make me sick, no matter if someone is Bronze V or Diamond I, attacking the people's elo is NEVER a good argument. If you don't agree with someone's claim, you have the right to do so, as long as you provide reasonal counter arguments to that claim. If you are just saying things such as "you are a low elo, you can't talk about balance" then you are just harassing that player and honestly I would report you to the moderators.

It surprises me to see how much people on this boards are obsessed with balance to that point.

It's always baffled me that people sometimes go out of their way to look up someone's division just to find an excuse to demean an unpopular view. If the guy is Diamond, screw it, move on to easier targets.

The only thing that I will ever hold against a post is unsound logic, and posts of temporary rage. While I can easily sympathize, it's time-consuming to make an argument against them.

On my actual server, Akali is indeed not considered to be OP at higher elos. However, Katarina is a perma-ban even in Diamond games, according to some of my friends.

Yes, you always have a right to your opinion. But opinions are opinions, and generally when a Bronze/Silver player has a different idea than what a Plat/Diamond has, its the low elo player thats wrong. Remember that the game is balanced around Plat+ play, so the experiences of a Diamond player are infinitely more valuable when it comes to balance than that of a Bronze player.

I say this as a high gold/ low plat elo player who looks back and realizes how fucking stupid I was when I was in Bronze.

Its been said by Riot on multiple occasions, but rather than quote them I'll give you two champion examples

Leblanc: absolutely useless in silver and below, meh soloQ winrate, repeatedly nerfed because of competitive and high level power

Heimerdinger: sports a massive consistent 54%+ winrate in yoloQ, but isn't nerfed because in plat+ he's much weaker, and he's unseen in competitive

Yeah, gonna need that quote, hotshot. Leblanc isn't useless in silver, don't know about bronze; Heimer is certainly strong, but he's not that much stronger in silver than he is in Plat. Only a few percentage points.

Furthermore, what you've done here is a clear example of confirmation bias. So yeah, again, gonna need that quote.

While I'm all for the push to stop attacking people over something that isn't really an issue (some people actually probably enjoy being bronze/silver level and not having to focus on more things), let me play Devil's advocate for a moment here.

Someone saying "you're bronze, you're an idiot" is a fallacy when discussing what is fun, or viable, or whatever. However, the statement "you're bronze, that's wrong" could be an overly simplified version of the entirely not logically false argument of "You're bronze, and arguing about an issue that shows up in bronze games. However, what you're saying is wrong because if you watch how people handle that situation in silver/gold/plat/diamond/savant tier there is actually a fairly specific counter to that issue, and it only seems OP because you aren't doing this in your games"

I think the majority of the time though it is just people attacking someone rather than engaging in a discussion. However, it should a least be pointed out that calling someone low elo is not a criticism, it is a statement of fact. It is all about the connotation of the statement. For instance if I'm telling the tailor who is fitting tuxes for my wedding that my best man is short and will need a smaller tux, that's not an insult, it's a statement. However, if I am playing basketball with my best man and keep blocking his shots and tell him to get his midget ass out the paint until he hits puberty, that's an insult.
