Stop pretending counter champions like Malphite/Rammus are OP.
These champions are straight up food for me when I face them. Wanna know why? Because my team comp isn't 3 AD assassins, a money starved support, and an ADC. The 3 counter champions
have historically had very high winrates because they punish bad team compositions. They've had a low pick rate too, until now because even more people are stacking AD assassins. Malphite was nerfed recently and it's just unbelievable to me. The only strong thing in his kit is his ultimate, the rest of his kit depends on him being a counter to whoever he's laning against, or against a team with a lot of AD and little AP. Pick Malphite against Vladimir and you basically just lost the game before it even started. Team composition is the biggest deciding factor of games, especially when the game consists of players with similar skill levels. These champions are the biggest walls standing between being able to pick 5 assassins on a team and win 15 minutes in.
tl;dr Malph didn't deserve his nerf. He's not OP or even just a tad too strong, he's perfectly balanced around dominating games where he is allowed to stack armor. I'm afraid this is going to set a bad precedent and the counter champions are going to be weak even when used in scenarios they're meant to thrive.
