when i play tryn its not the stuns I'm worried about
It's the onslaught of slows
There's also a summoner spell called ignite.
"Ignite is a targeted summoner spell. It deals a moderate amount of true damage over 5 seconds and reduces healing and regeneration effects on the target by 50% for the duration, revealing them for the duration."
Unfortunately that doesn't really help with the fact that someone can build full damage and still be guaranteed to live at least 5 seconds in any teamfight, just makes sure he pays for any damage he does in the end :/
He's probably not unbalanced, but he is one of a handful of champs who have to be balanced around a toxic core gameplay mechanic that even when balanced feels like shit to play against.
He's extremely squishy, though. If you counter him with a champ that can poke, you'll basically nullify him early game. What I see most people do is stand toe to toe with him, and just continue pounding on him after he's activated his ult... as if, this time, that ult won't matter. Just walk away, pop ignite on him after a few seconds, laugh. It's even better if he's the only "tank" on their team, because he's the only one who can initiate, has to blow his ult immediately, and becomes useless for a the next few minutes.
Try Quinn, Teemo, Kayle,... Quinn counters just about any top laner with a a gap closer.
You don't need 5 seconds. You cc him once, and then you walk away. He's melee.
Alternatively, strong slows.
ok
