because of the absolute and MANDATORY NEED to 1v9 carry in low elos. its fucking insane how far apart skill levels are. atleast with champs like old i could fulfill that need.

now that the dust is settling on all of the reworks, i can safely say that only the ww rework was good simply because he is exactly the same. everyone else lost their niche potential to solo carry the game aswell as lost all of what made them fun, namely poppy, fiora, gangplank, aatrox, etc.

i will admit tho that yi is probally the last one that can actually 1v9 IF he is stupid fed.

Agree agree, all my mains got reworked or nerfed too. Here’s the list of my favourites -> old zac, ap kog (still viable so ok), broken viktor before r rework and old fiora. Thought I had more. But these were fun.

Gangplank, the one who lost nothing at all and only gained an ability?

Gangplank is only less fun because Trinity lost its crit.

the funnest thing about old GP was his Q crits and Q in general. he lost SIGNIFICANT POWER in Q in exchange for those dumb barrels.

His Q has the exact same cooldown (5) and damage (20/45/70/95/120 + 100% AD) that it did before his rework, though.

and then you realize he cant spam it nearly as much as he use to, thus decreasing its effective power. mana nerfs hurt damage output more than actuam dmg number nerfs. old GP use to be able to go straight into shyv first item and go ham off of shyv alone. he didnt need mana items and only got triforce for the proc and crit. this is because his Q refunded mana and he could safely CS with Q alone.
