can people stop taking ARAM/Poro King super seriously?

I've had people call gg after a few bad fights, and people who are just outright negative. cmon people, its Christmas!

nobody's asking for you to outright troll, but you don't have to jump down people's throats if they're trying something off-meta

chill out, and happy holidays

Why would you downvote this? What is wrong with people? haha

I get on people who try to make ARAM serious. Take that toxic nonsense back to the Rift, where it belongs. ARAM is where fun, civilized, people go to escape the overly serious. Fussy people have no business being anywhere near these game modes, and should be shut down politely and immediately when they dare to intrude.

Civilized people would also respect other people's preferences and realize that their teammates might want to win. It's not right to flame anyone, but it's also not right to go weird off-meta builds when they don't fit the teamcomp.

weird, off meta builds are perfectly fine though. if I wanted to follow a stagnated meta constantly, then I'll just play the rift. for example, I played caster varus long before it became popular in the lcs in arams. would you ever doubt caster varus right now? no.

you never know if something would work or not unless with heavy duty trial and error, and the margin for things to work in aram is wider than in normals

That's not "weird, off-meta builds." That's champs having different builds on different maps. The problem isn't strange builds by themselves (unless you're trying AP Riven or something), but strange builds that don't mesh with teamcomp (e.g. going AP Rek'Sai with 4 squishy ranged teammates).

"strange builds that don't mesh with teamcomp" is just either someone not giving a shit about their teamcomp and playing what they want (perfectly acceptable) or someone who is just bad at the game (also acceptable)

if you get angry at these things in an aram, where a majority of people don't give a shit about teamcomps, then you're gonna have a bad time

Common, but not really acceptable. It's quite disrespectful towards your teammates. It's also not limited to ARAM.

I wouldn't say it's disrespectful towards teammates. I've done plenty of off-meta playstyles in aram and I've had decent success with it. The thing you have to realize is that scaling works differently in ARAM, allowing plenty of builds and playstyles that would otherwise suck dick in normals with the gold per 5 and passive experience. Its actually very difficult to have a build/playstyle that is so godawful that it would directly result in a loss. I've seen builds like full movespeed singed/rammus actually function and function well in arams, as well as doing full AD sion plenty of times (Also successfully). Builds and playstyles so bad that they contribute nothing whatsoever tend to be pure trolls who build 6 boots.

What is disrespectful is outright slamming playstyles that may actually work just fine, but just had a bad game or something. I find it is easier to get irritated towards players who are essentially feeding than players who have offmeta builds. But that's just me.

Half of the community doesn't give a single shit about Christmas because we don't celebrate it. Anyway ARAM or not,it is still a game and some %%%s who go AP rek'sai Just because she can poke with Q or AP Nasus because of stupid early game and useless late game, should expect negative feedback.

it's a random gamemode in general, who cares if they go AP reksai or AP nasus

why do people even take ARAM seriously, it is inherently not a serious gamemode, just something you can fuck around with game mechanics in

ARAM's as inherently serious as anything else in League. Unless there's money, tournament prizes, or something else on the line, there isn't anything different between ARAM, SR, or any other permanent game mode. This doesn't excuse raging at anyone, but it also doesn't excuse going off-meta builds that clash with the teamcomp.

Idc if people go off meta builds what I do care about are people just feeding rather than at least playing somewhat seriously rather than all of them just running off to their deaths and feeding constantly. 2 games were just like that, the first time I was able to get myself to a point where I might be able to win but the second time I was destroyed in the beginning and lost before 15 minutes, both times, my team all individually died at least 5 times each before I did after I got a kill or two. Losing that hard would be fine IF we did the same to the enemy team but nope. Correction: 3 games now
