on the contrary, I'd rather see it shown to everyone who had a hand in reporting an especially toxic player, it would make it easier to tell if someone's reports are on the mark, or if they're just heat-of-the-moment spite reports that they should stop doing

What if you got punished and i got the report that you were, and then posted it on the forums where you could potentially see it etc? What if everyone did that?

The report feedbacks are supposed to be for personal acknowledgement letting you know that your reports are taken seriously. They are not for bragging on rhe forums.

It is more about how it was posted, not that it was posted. It seemed on the verge of saying "ha ha i got you punished after you said your better than me" and "thankfully riot does not care about mmr when they punish someone"

I was simply stating that if the person who got punished was a boards user, and saw the post, how this post was posted could be taken as bragging that they got someone punished. Which then would have caused a fight on here. Which then is completely un needed and causes even more grief. Which then if enough people did it and got negative results from it, then this feature would be taken away.

Im not saying that the OP was wrong for posting, im just expressing my concern that, although i personally thought that the situation was kinda funny, and i figure thats why they posted it..... It could be considered bragging that they got someone punished. That kinda ruins the post for me, and so i simply explained that i hope that the punishing of one toxic player does not give rise to another.

Not really, it's none of our business.

It's not needed to enjoy the game.

And it's only two possible uses are:

To avoid the negative player (far too difficult, unlikely and unnecessary given the size of the community and chances of meeting the same player again)
To start a witch hunt or allow players to identify and bully someone (very common, likely, and easy result)

It's not given out more because riots punishment system is no longer instant from my observations, unless multiple reports from the same game come in. Example. I reported a guy in a normal game the other day who blatantly said the N word twice in a game. Sat for a good 25 minutes waiting for the pop up.. nothing. Hell, I even logged out of the client and back in in hopes that it would pop up.. nothing.

I honestly feel as if with this current system, hate speech like that is given too much of a benefit of the doubt. It's either that, or the punishment system is more Laxed in normals than it is in ranked.. Which is a blessing and a curse. it's a blessing if you mess up and tilt toxicity, but a curse that this type of behavior can easily be seen as "acceptable" because they weren't punished for it in a normal game.

You are not always notified when someone you report gets punished.

That simple.

Every time i see a comment like that, they are completely oblivious to the idea that they might not always get a notification. No not trying to put you down by saying oblivious, but from how you made that comment, it did not cross your mind that you might not always get a notification if a person you reported is punished. You instantly jump to the thought that they were not punished, so Riot does not care.

There are various levels of toxicity. I say some things in chat that could be considered very minor toxicity. This is normally spread out, and very vague, mostly pointing out the reason they are winning the lane (their jungler camping, they are playing yi, they got carried by "x" so they have no room to say anything.... Etc). This is very minor and takes quite a bit to actually get punished for.

The next level is often stuff like "your an idiot." "go uninstall you unskilled noob, your so useless" etc. This is often on a 3 strike system, which could potentially lead to a temp chat ban depending on how extreme it is.

Racist comments like the N word etc are often times instant 14 day bans because Riot holds a 0 tolerance policy to racism. Pre game and post game chat is sent along with in game chat, especially if you mention in the comments where it was said.

I hate people like that. You know those pompous asswipes that think because they are higher ELO in a game, they get the right to shit talk everyone and stand on the high ground to dispense their own sense of justice? And when you drop "we'll see about what Riot thinks of your behavior" is when they start to lose their shit or completely negate that they were ever doing anything wrong.

It isn't our job as players to judge whether a player gets punished or not. It's our job to report behavior we consider negative and leave it Riot to figure out if it's punishable or not.

Getting salty once or twice isn't needed but it's understandable (although still unpleasant to be a part of). But if this happens on a regular basis and frequency + intent is established as negative, watch your ass. Riot doesn't tolerate anyone with this kind of attitude, whether you are a Challenger or Riot employee yourself.

i didn't say anything until after the game, where I said the title quote. the only response I got was the mmr comment, from said toxic player.

I don't and never have egged players on. the last thing I want to do in my ranked games is tilt anyone, because my time and LP are at stake.

really? you think my actions here qualify as toxic? you obviously don't play this game. I've seen death threats, I've seen passive aggressiveness to an extreme, I've seen feeding that was most definitely intentional. and that was just yesterday.

how is my reporting of someone that was VERY clearly toxic a toxic action in of itself? I could not have been the only person to report to have that popup appear. I haven't named and shamed, I didn't egg this guy on, this was the after-game chat. He got what was coming to him.
