So yeah, couldn't get an S rank as a Support despite having a perfect game

Don't get me wrong ... i'm not angry or going to throw a fit. But, I do feel cheated in a sense, I mean- Elise Kennen on my team both received S's for having a lot of kills (Kennen went 11 kills, 1 death and Elise had 10 kills and 3 deaths) but managed to get S ranks while I only obtained an A ...

I've warded the map to secure kills, bought 2-3 pink wards, never died once, assisted in every assault along with snatching Dragon with my team; hell I even got 2 kills because the bot lane got greedy going after my barely dead ADC. Yet, despite all my work I only got an A? Then it made me realize something.

This game ranks people based on how many kills you earn over any other objective. You could of stolen / obtained all 5 dragons and baron but if your score doesn't consist of a dozen kills, you are unlikely to get an S as Jungler. Seems pretty unfair if you ask me. Your thoughts on this?

You typically need around 60% kill participation in my experience to get an S as a support. There are other factors of course but low kill participation (your kills + assist) / total kills for your team will ensure you don't get it.

The other team surrendered before we could destroy their inhibitor towers around 30 something minutes. I was mostly in bot lane for the first 15-22 minutes before I began wondering around and assisting the others in global control. Seems unfair to me regardless that because I didn't participate in every kill from the very beginning that I was shut down of an S rank.

It happens with every role though. I ended one game 7 0 11 on Lux (Mid) with near perfect CS and great damage done however my team had a total of 43 kills and because my kill participation was low I got an A+.

The game was only 22 minutes long.

You only placed 13 stealth wards and 1 vision ward that game and you only participated in less than half the kills. I dunno, place more wards. It's about how other people perform on the champion you're using as well.

Game only lasted 22 minutes, I would of done more if I could lol. Sounds like an excuse, yeah ... but I did everything in my power until they ff'd.

I was pointing out that you were giving false information.

As for the point of this thread, at that short amount of time, it's not always easy to get an S. A perfect game doesn't equal an S. You likely could have warded more, and don't forget denying vision. Destroying wards also is important.

Honestly i've fallen short when teams surrender that early. Sometimes you just didn't have the time to meet the criteria. Just keep up what you were doing, ward/deny vision more, etc.

The grades are based on the average score of the champion in that role.

You can also roam and complete match objectives like dragon, herald/baron, and pull off massive team ganks. I've seen 4 out of 5 people get an S doing this (even tho we had an AFK)...

Just something to think about.

ive actually gotten an s as support nami 2 or 3 times, you need an excessive amount of assists and at least 2(?) kills plus a decent amount of cs(somewhere around 50) as well as having a decent amount more gold then the enemy sup, as far as i know the gold is the most important thing and a prefered 2+ kills and 15+ assists.

overall all though it is ridiculous the requirements for an s especially for support or just for people who dont get the kills(tanks etc.)

you don't need kills or cs to get S ranks. I have gotten 3 S ranks on Sona and one of them i had 6 cs and no kills but a bunch of assists (participated on almost every kill). The game doesn't track your stats in a vacuum, it takes whatever you did on the game and compares it to other players playing the same champion on that role. If your stats don't match up to whatever S rank people playing that champion get then don't expect to get an S rank

I think you need to average close to 1 assist or kill a minute Probably something like 0.9 a minute. THey might factor in damage healed as well.

i fyou want S's, go sona and spam heal.

btw: the grading system differs slightly depending on what champ/role you play.

solo laners MUST get 200+cs for an S, I think supports dont

Room for improvement.

Hey man .. at least give feedback as to how I can improve please? Your comment is too vague my friend (just saying since everyone else here is giving me plenty of good information).

Your photo doesn't provide enough information to elicit a full response.

If you didn't score S+ then you have room for improvement.

From the sounds of it you didn't play a full game, you played Leona which means your cs score was probably very low, you didn't play a full game so it was probably even lower, you didnt play a full game so you didn't amass many kills, you didn't play a full game so you only played half a perfect match, you didn't play a full game so chances are the rest of your team carried, i think you can see where I'm going with this.

Also, your photo doesn't provide enough information to elicit a full response.

Yes I've never gotten a S without high assist score regardless of the position I played or game mode.

It's based on how other players are doing with the champion. For example, to get an S- with my main Ez, I had to go 32/3/18 with a 72% kill participation score. Granted, the main reason I tend to get lower scores might be my relatively shitty cs, it might be something similar in your case. If everything about the game you played you did better than the vast majority of people playing Leona, you'll get an S- or above.

I got an S playing Mordekaiser in the jungle last night. I got absolutely shit on for the first 20 minutes. So I just farmed my ass off, built tanky, and bought sweeper and pinks. I scaled into a late game monster and absolutely crushed it late. Elder Dragon Ghost pet was hilarious. Destroyed like 3 towers and got bunch of kills with it.
